Rules & Regulations
ACTIVITY. When signing up, please try your best to be as active as you can. We understand many unexpected things occur, but it harms the roleplay when vital cannons go inactive. For this reason, only choose a cannon if you can fufil the requirements. If a canon goes absent without explanation for more than two weeks, it will be reopened. If you return before the canon is claimed, you may claim them back. For other vital characters, if you do not return without notice, that is telling us that we can use your character in our plots through a new roleplayer, based on their heavy involvement in plots, etc. We can't just kill off/comatise everyone, y'know?
LITERACY. This is an American/English forum, so we would appreciate it if you at least tried to keep up with the language. Therefore, try to make what you post at least somewhat legible. Try to use some sentence structure, make your posts to where they show off your writing abilities. It doesn't look too good with heaps of spelling mistakes and no capitals, commas etc. Your teacher will be thanking me. Although there is no formal word count, it is expected for you to post at least +250 words each post. We all have our off days, but if you can't manage this word count, you obviously haven't developed your character well enough. It becomes a problem when your partner cannot make a decent reply because they are held back by an undetailed post. Also, if you can't achieve this wordcount, this likely isn't the site for you. We are here to help, but we aren't here to do all the work ourselves.
ADVERTISEMENTS. Advertising your site is allowed, however you can only post ONE thread in the advertising section. You may only PM a member about your site if you are an established member on the site. If you continually spam their inbox, you will no longer have an inbox to spam. Also, if they don't like being pm advertised you will be warned. So advertise at your own risk. If you choose to advertise via PM, no posting ads! Only convince them nicely why they should join.
POWER PLAY. No God or power modding, no character is better than any others. No Auto-ing, meaning do not write something that a character hasn't written. You can only auto an NPC character, such as a teacher or a vampire. I have tolerated certain acts of this in the past, but I won't be tolerating it any more. Your character cannot know things about other characters before they even meet, your character cannot block every hit they're given and they also cannot attack another character without consulting them first, or writing 'attempted.' If I see one of those uber powerful vampires who can't be touched, beware. Of all the rules, I will be enforcing this one the most. You are only allowed to hit another character if there is a strong difference in strength/ability. A weak human cannot punch a strong vampire. They can say 'attempted' and words like that, but cannot actually hit them. It is up to that specific character if they accept to be hit or not.
MATURITY. Minimal swearing and romantic scenes are permitted. This is not a porn site. If you want to have sex, just use signals, but don't go into detail on what you are actually doing. If it will further the plot, we can gather whats going to happen ourselves. We don't need the details.
ISSUES. If you have a problem with a certain member or a plot, please do not talk about it in the c-box or anywhere else. PM an admin and we'll do out best to sort it out. There is nothing worse than seeing staff members/members arguing in the chatbox where all can see. Your not only making yourself look like a fool, but your making the site look that way too.
VACATIONS. If you are going on vacation or are busy, please PM an admin so you can keep your character. Our site is very story oriented and it cripples the site to have essential characters just sitting in limbo.
LIMITATIONS. You must stay within a character's limitations. You cannot be a slayer then perform magic, this is crucial! You cannot have a physical fighting character that can also perform magic, nor have a magic user that is a kung-fu Master, etcetera etcetera. Keep it realistic, characters do have limitations! This also relates to emotional limitations also. Not everyone is all wise and has an answer for everything, and can never have their buttons pushed.
