CHRISTINE ANNE MOORE
Christine | 17 | Straight | Good | Student | Natalie Portman
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five
Tough: Christine grew up in a tough situation and she knows how to look after herself. If anything comes at her (at least anything non-supernatural) she's likely to win.
Smart: People at school might only see the tough exterior but that is not all that's there. She puts the effort in and it comes easy to her. That doesn't mean she likes to advertise it to the whole school.
Loyal: There are not a ton of people she is close to but she would do anything for those with whom she is. Once she's your friend, she's your friend for life.
Artistic: Need something drawn? She's your girl.
Brave: She never quakes in the face of danger, she looks it straight in the eyes and dares it to take a step closer.
Sense of Justice: Christine has a very acute sense of right and wrong, when she witnesses someone being bullied or treated wrongly she cannot help but step in. And administer punishment.
Good with Animals: She has always had a natural gift with animals; dogs and cats just seem to flock to her.
WEAKNESSES
Tough: While it is a strength, it is also a weakness. Her toughness often leads to intimidating the people around her which leads her to feel isolated and lonely.
Her Little Brother: It breaks her heart that her baby brother has to grow up in the same situation she did and she would do absolutely anything to protect him. Anything.
Her Home: She does anything she can to avoid being home (except when it is to help her brother) but when she does have to be there she's always at her lowest, most unhappy point.
Distracted: She's often too distracted by the thoughts going on in her own head to notice what's going on around her.
Self Conscious: She's very confident and intimidating on the outside but extremely guarded about her real self and anything that has to do with her childhood or her home.
Temper: It takes a lot to get her really angry, but once she is, you had better watch out; nobody is safe.
Bad with Children and Old People: She just doesn't know what to do with them, they are a mystery to her.

Christine is about 5'7 and of medium build. She's not particularly skinny, mostly because she has a good amount of muscle. she weighs about 140-150 pounds. She has short, pixie cut black hair that she likes to wear very slightly spiked for shock factor. Her eyes are almost as dark as her hair only a tiny bit lighter. She has an olive tone to her skin but she tends to stay out of the sun (air conditioning is more her style) so she is fairly pale, though she can tan very easily. She tends to smile with only one half of her mouth and raises one eyebrow whenever she hears something she does not like. She has a tattoo of her brother's name on her right shoulder blade. She had to bribe someone to give it to her since she is not yet 18. She tends to dress pretty plainly, but her clothes are always form fitting. She much prefers a tight black tank top to some frilly, baggy blouse.
PERSONALITY
On the outside Christine seems like your typical, everyday outcast; maybe even with some anti-establishment undertones. But she's really fairly normal. Her attitude towards school and life in general is just to get through it and move on to the next thing. She seems pretty intimidating because she is tough but her quiet demeanor is just her skating through life, trying to make as few waves as she can. She tends to avoid verbal conflict as much as possible (a good physical conflict is alright every now and then). She doesn't get angry too easily so conflicts are generally easy for her to avoid but when she does get mad, her temper is terrifying. She enjoys her school work, particularly English and History, but she prefers to enjoy it quietly without letting her teachers know that she enjoys it. She is not involved in any school clubs or sports teams but she hangs around school a lot after classes so she can avoid being home. She is always friendly to people, even though most are intimidated to talk to her at first. She tends not to initiate conversation and so spends the majority of her time with a book.
Christine is tough in every way. She handles danger like a pro (though as of yet she has not faced anything supernatural). She always keeps a cool head when she's in danger and almost always comes out on top because of it. She seems to act exactly the same way when faced with adversity but it's not as natural. For the sake of her brother she takes control of the situation and makes sure everything that needs to get done, gets done. However, privately she takes it pretty hard. She always finds a way to blame the problem on herself and beats herself up about it for a while after it happens.
Christine can be extremely warm, loving and loyal. If you earn her trust. She is a mother for her brother and would give him everything she possessed in a second. She would be the same way with her friends if they proved themselves.
She has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Often people think she is being serious when she is trying to make a joke so she generally tries to stay away from making jokes. Though sometimes, she just can't help it, people can be so ridiculous.
LIKES
(most)Animals: She likes them because they like her and pets will always love you unconditionally.
Books: She likes pretty much everything about them. She loves reading as a distraction but she also enjoys the smell of books and just generally being around them.
Movies: She's a movie buff for sure, ever since she was little she would sneak into movies and spend whole days jumping from one theater to another.
Watching Football: All those men getting sweaty and tackling each other, what's not to love?
Cooking: Well she really likes eating, but if you don't have money to eat out you have to make the delicious food yourself!
Drawing: She likes the way she has to focus on something very hard when drawing, usually her mind is all over the place but it can't be when drawing. It's a nice change.
DISLIKES
Birds: She got attacked by a seagull at the beach when she was four, she's never been the same.
Injustice: Nothing makes her angrier that seeing someone get treated unfairly, it's just not right.
Liars: She hates people that go back on their word, trust is something you earn, once it's gone, it's almost always gone for good
Bad Grades: She may not seem to care to her teachers but she put a lot of time and effort into that work and she can't stand getting low marks for it.
Obnoxious People: You know those people who are always yelling, running, knocking people over and/or telling bad jokes? They get on her nerves.
Feeling Out of Control: She likes to feel like she has a handle on the situation at all times. As soon as the control gets taken away she starts to freak out a little bit.

I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a peace sign
Christine has lived in Miami with her mother, Brenda, since she was born. Her father was what her mother called "The Big Mistake." they were not together more than a hand full of times and he left before he even knew she was pregnant. Christine has never met him or given any thought to ever meeting him; he's always seemed like more of a sperm donor to her than a father. Her mother was forced to move out of a larger apartment and into the tiny one they live in now when Christine was born. Her mother worked two jobs and Christine spent a good chunk of her childhood being babysat by the other apartment complex dwellers. Her mother always made sure she was safe with someone before she went to work; it was a bit of a rough part of town (though not as bad as it could have been). She never thought of that part of her childhood as particularly bad. She just didn't get to see her mother much.
When Christine was 8 her mother's boyfriend Bill moved in with them. That was the first time Christine ever saw violence (they didn't have a tv). He never hit Christine or even attempted to, but it seemed to Christine that he never stopped hitting her mother. She spent a lot of her time those couple of years he lived with them sleeping over at neighbors houses or else locked in her tiny bedroom. Her mother insisted on the lock; she never wanted her baby to get hurt. Bill left once he heard Christine's mother got pregnant again. A real keeper, I know.
And that is how Christine's little brother, Charlie, came to be. She loved him from the second she laid eyes on him and promised him and herself that she would never let anything happen to him. Her mother went back to working two jobs and when Christine wasn't in school she made sure she had Charlie in her sight at all times. Somehow she could never forgive her mother for letting herself get treated like that and she knew that she would never let herself be in that situation. But out of it all came something beautiful. Sure, they fought sometimes but they always made up and Charlie always looked to her like a mother, even from his youngest years.
At the beginning of her high school career Christine started to rebel a little, she got into some fights, tried some drugs and went to parties. But she pretty quickly decided that kind of life wasn't for her and went back to dancing through life. Now she's a Junior in high school and trying to decide if she should go away to college and leave her brother or get stuck at community college here and continue to be unhappy.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I would like her to sort of become part of the gang. She doesn't have any special powers but I can see her being big on the research and help; she has very clear ideas about right and wrong. She currently doesn't know that anything supernatural is going on around her so she will somehow figure that out. I know that she wants to fight it one way or another once she figures it out. I would also like her to get involved in witchcraft somewhere way down the line and probably not on an extremely high level.

4 Years Experience | No Other Character|
Christine slumped down against the art classroom wall. There were decisions to be made and she hated making decisions. She could go home now and spend her night in her depressing little apartment listening to the neighbors fight and watching Charlie do his homework. Or she could stay at school and pretend she was a part of some sort of club. It wasn't such a bad prospect; she could spend the time in the library pretending to do homework. Although, she would have to be careful, the school security guard was definitely on to her by now.
It's not like these were the only decisions to make, they were just the easier ones.
The doorknob rattled and she thanked God she had nabbed that key off of Mrs. Tandeski's desk. That was the problem with after school clubs, they were always trying to use the school.
She would definitely miss this room when she finally did make up her mind about the big decisions. It was Junior year and she was supposed to be deciding what she wanted to do with her life. Going away seemed like the best choice if it was not for her brother. Staying a couple of extra hours at school was one thing but moving away for months at a time was a whole other story. She just couldn't see herself leaving him to that. But staying here wasn't a fantastic option either. She was sure she could get a scholarship for most of the tuition for local school, but she was also sure everything would be just about the same as high school if she stayed. She banged her head against the wall once and put it out of her mind. She'd think about it later. Maybe.
It was about that time that she started hearing a strange noise outside of the classroom. A clicking, like nails on linoleum. She was pretty positive the school didn't allow dogs inside but on the off chance that it might be a puppy she could pet, she followed the sound to the door.
It was not a dog. She shrunk down below the window instinctively as it moved by and prayed it, whatever it was, hadn't seen her. It had to have been 8 feet tall; covered and scales with claws the length of number 2 pencils it hulked down the hall towards who knows what.
"What the hell is going on?"
