The night was young and Julien was coming out to play. Leaving his temporary home dressed in something fun. He wore a pair of black skinny jeans, a tight sleeveless black shirt, along with several leather bands wrapped around his arms and wrists. He wasn’t trying to look to dark or anything, he definitely did not want to look tacky or anything likes that. His hair was styled and gelled in a tight pho hawk. He had had years of practice styling it, so the lack of a mirror was no problem. Looking over himself once more he decided that he was presentable enough, and he quickly stepped out the door, not stopping to lock it as he didn’t have anything of value in there. The warm Miami air did nothing to his cold skin; this was one of the things the vampire missed the most. He had wanted to feel the heat so bad. Which was one of the reason he loved to drink blood. It would give him the small chance to feel again. Oh how he loved to drink, the warm crimson liquid was such a delicious treat. Tonight though, was not a night to feed? It was not a night to drink from the necks of the young humans. No tonight was simply for fun.
Julien took off towards the club called Miami heat. He had been here a few times before. The loud noise and flashing lights had been some of the things that had drawn him into the club. The other being the insatiable scents of the blood pumping through the veins of the clubbers. Oh how they smelt so good. It filled his nasal passages with a sweet aroma. He could smell the sweat, the arousal, and the lust in the air a mile away. He made his way quickly reaching the clubs within minutes of him leaving. It wasn’t too hard to get there as he used many of the alleys he had surveyed the past few nights. He was confident with how well he knew the city now. He may have just arrived, but when he comes to a town he makes sure he knows the layout well.
Stepping into the club, the bright lights were nearly blinding. The noise causing a ringing in his ears from the sheer volume. Julien let himself adjust to the new environment before moving on. His head still slightly spinning from the euphoric smells, and aromas of the room. He needed to calm himself down though, or else he would quickly need to feed. Walking over to the bar he smiled at the bar tender. Flashing a fake idea he ordered a bottle of tequila, the man quickly brought it to him in exchange for the money. Taking the bottle he brought it to his lips and took a long drink. The burning feeling most people might feel from the alcohol was absent for him. As the liquid settled in his stomach it brought a wide smile to the vampires face. Looking around him, taking in the sights Julien’s eyes were quickly drawn to someone in particular. A young man looking about 16 or 17 at most was sitting alone at a table. He looked eager, almost giddy. It caused Julien to laugh with joy. Oh the pleasures of being young. Looking back at the bar he quickly grabbed two shot glasses while the bar tender wasn’t looking and made his way to the young man.
When he reached the boy he spoke softly enough so Zane would be the only one to hear. “well, well, well what is such an appetizing young man as yourself doing alone… are you waiting for someone? a girl perhaps? Or maybe a boy? I mean to each his own right.” with those last words he circled around the boy to the opposite end of the table with a handsome almost hypnotic smile. His eyes gleaming brightly as he looked the boy over taking a seat. “I hope you don’t mind me taking a seat… maybe I can keep you company till your friend arrives…shot?” he held up the liquor bottle and glasses, smiling again as he set them on the table relaxing a bit.

The neon-like lights of Miami Fever blinded him as he stepped through the doors. The overly-loud music sent a rush through his body. He did enjoy loud music, it was just something that he never experienced often, due to always studying. He began to think that Preston was right, and he needed to get out more often. Once a week, perhaps on the weekend? That could be good, and it would allow him to socialise a little more than he usually did. Preston would definantly be happy that he wanted to come to places like this more often. If it was a choice between a booming club, and a study session, he knew where Preston's mind would lie.
He began moving in towards the club, being careful not to knock any of the people dancing and talking. As there were a lot of people, it was rather hard, therefore he was apologizing a lot just to get to where the tables were. He finally made it through, though not before encountering many disgruntled faces. It wasn't like it was his fault...People needed to move out of the way. Why did everyone decide to crowd near the door, anyway? Shouldn't they be more interested in...You know, the actual club? What was so exciting about the entrance? Sitting at a table, he sighed, partially with relief that he had made it through the bombardment of stares. Some were drunken girls giving him winks, and others were people wondering why he was here, or something like that. Luckily he hadn't encountered Paige or Macy. He just wasn't in the mood for them, especially since he was alone after all.
He hated himself for coming so early. Arya and him weren't supposed to be meeting for another half an hour or so. Maybe he could get a drink, or something and try and enjoy the time before she came? It was definantly a step up from sitting there like a loner and looking miserable. However his time as a loner was soon dismal, as a man approached him and began speaking with him. Why was the man talking to him in the first place? He was just an ordinary student...Not wanting trouble. 'Appetizing?' What kind of person said things like that? "Oh uh...Yeah, I'm waiting for a girl." Why would he be waiting for a guy? Was this guy just trying to insult him or something, because he never really spoke much. Did he have that weird vibe to him? Why was it always him?
The man soon helped himself to a seat, and Zane glanced at the man, wishing he now didn't come so early. He looked at the bottle and the shot glasses. Alcohol? He wasn't really one to drink alcohol, especially since he was underage and all. "Uh...No thanks. I'm not allowed to drink...You know, underage and all. And plus, I didn't come here for that, just to meet up with a friend and have a good night. I'm gonna be alcohol free..." He did feel rather intimidated by this man. He was big, strong and scary and mysterious looking. If Zane said something the wrong way, he might be bashed or something. Where was that super strong Gemma when he needed her?

He could sense the boys nervousness when Julien talked to him. he clearly was unnerved by the older looking man. Though thinking about it most people thought he looked no more than 21 so he couldn’t look that intimidating could he? Julien found himself questioning his looks now. After a few moments of silence and a few moments of short drinks from the bottle the boy began to speak. His voice unsure, and slightly afraid. He told Julien that he was waiting for a girl. Well that was interesting, yet so plane Jane. When the boy turned down the alcohol though that was quite shocking. This boy had to be a goody two shoes. So squeaky clean, begging to be played with. And all that seemed to go through Julien’s head at that moment is “brand new toy.”
Another smile went across his face and a slight little laugh came out of his mouth. Not loud enough for the boy to hear, but he would just think the man was smiling. Reaching out his hand Julien began to speak again. “sorry for the intrusion, my names Julien, you can call me Jules though.” He said with a childlike grin, making him seem less dominant. He was good at changing his facial features like that. Often tricking people, by making it seem like he was innocent or kind. He couldn’t do anything about his body type though, since well he rather liked being muscular. He waited though for the boy to introduce himself as well before he began to speak again.
“I thought I might come over and say hi since you seemed a little lonely. Though now that I know you got a girl commin’ for yea it sure does seem I’m not needed. As for that silly age rule, who cares? It’s not like you’re going to get super wasted. Are you sure you don’t want any of this though… it leaves the best feeling in your stomach, and well the taste is awful, but the after effects are amazing… come on you know you’d love to try it.” He gave a slight smile, trying to seem friendly and not too commanding as he poured a pair of shots into two glasses. He pushed one over to the boy and kept one close to him. “I’m guessing you’ve never had alcohol before have you…. Well you know what theres a first for everything, and it’s about time you learned how to drink a shot… trust me it’ll come in handy later in life.” he gave a smirk as he motioned for the boy to pick up his glass first.

He appeared to be friendly, as he introduced himself. "Zane..." He replied softly, with a friendly yet innocent looking smile. He looked around the club slightly, wondering if time had sped up and Arya would be walking over to him, but this wasn't the case. He even wondered what would happen if Arya came and how Jules would react. Would he try stealing him from Zane, or be the way he was to Zane right now? He knew that Arya was like him, and would probably find his sudden moves intimidating as well as he did. He wasn't sure how to take this guy, and that scared him slightly.
He was lonely, but what struck him as odd was this guy who had approached him. Honestly, the guy was really attractive and looked like the type who hung around with the cool crowd, though he had never seem him at school before. Another school, maybe? Or maybe he was finished school, as he did look slightly older than a casual student. He smiled, nodding softly to be friendly, and somewhat show grattitude for the man coming over to talk with him. In many ways, this man knew what to say, and he was right. One shot wasn't going to hurt. It wasn't like he had never had alcohol before, it would be nothing. After the man slid the shot across the table to him, Zane was compelled to pick up the shot glass, and cringed his eyes softly as he quickly poured the contents into his mouth. He slightly choked with a slight smirk, before finally feeling okay again. "That wasn't so bad...Apart from the disgusting taste...You were right about that."
He looked at the man's full glass. "Aren't you going to have yours as well? You can't make me be the only sucker to down that substance." He smiled softly. He needed this, hell he deserved this. After the week he had had, it was good to be able to wind down and enjoy himself. He deserved to be able to enjoy himself.

So his name was Zane. Julien had to admit the name fit him, but probably guessed it was short for something. He had no clue what, but in his time alive he had come across many a names, that were often shortened out of embarrassment. As they sat there quietly the boy seemed to be looking for his friend. He wondered if the boy was looking for help for a second though. Ignoring the boys glances at the door he watched as Zane came back to him, attention full. He seemed like he was paying attention to Julien’s words, as he slowly nodded in reply. His quiet and innocent response was absolutely adorable though. Julien just wanted to pick him up and bite into him right here and now.
That would have been extremely rude though, and plus tonight Julien wasn’t looking for blood, he was simply looking for company. Now the company he chose really didn’t have a choice if Julien stayed or not, he often would just ignore their comments, often directed to lose him, and stay till he got bored. His boredom would often come at random times, his interest always shifting to the newest thing in the room. Right now that thing happened to be Zane.
What happened next was sheer astonishment though. Zane was picking up the glass and drinking that shot like a pro. A bit of laughter escaped Julien as he couldn’t help but smile at the human. “Well, well, well so much for mister goody two shoes. You might just be worth sticking around, could be fun.” He gave another happy smile and a playful friendly wink. Not one in a sexual manner just one for giggles. As the boy spoke again he couldn’t help but shrug.
Taking up his shot glass he smiled, raised it to the sealing, and then drank the cold liquid. The awful taste did nothing to him, it couldn’t even make him cringe any more. Lacking the taste buds to actually be effected by it. As the liquid moved down his body he could feel the warmth fill his body then evaporate in seconds. Looking back at the boy he gave another smile and poured himself another shot, taking it quickly. “I am very proud of you Zane, I think you and I are gona be good friends.” Laughing a little as he smiled more, he scooted his chair over so that the bottle could be between them, allowing for the boy to take as many shots as he wanted. He himself still mindlessly taking a few shots here and there. “So little Zane, tell me about yourself?” his words spoken softly with a kind tone behind it. This new toy would be fun to mess with, after all he did seem fun, and this was only after the first few minutes.

Although the taste was slowly going away, he could feel the power that the shot had over him, as he did feel some slight side effects. Though as it was only one shot, the effects were less empowering over him. Still, for someone who doesn't drink often, one shot could be a powerful one if the drinker isn't used to it. And obviously Zane wasn't used to it. He smiled at Jules' playful wink, feeling like he just achieved something by doing a shot. Did he earn 'I'm cool' points, or something? It just proved that he wasn't just some boring nerd...He could have fun and enjoy himself from time to time. After all, everyone needed to unwind from time to time, and Zane just happened to be doing that tonight.
He watched with interest as Jules took down the shot with ease. He couldn't help smirking slightly. He had obviously a lot of experience doing shots, something Zane didn't have. "Gotta say Jules, this is actually rather fun. And this is me being not-boring for a change, and actually enjoying myself." Jules definantly knew how to have a good time, maybe Zane could learn something from him. He might be able to become more interesting and less boring all of the time. He was sure Arya would like that, as he would be less talky-talky about books, and more talky talky about subjects which people cared about.
As Jules stated he was proud of Zane, Zane smirked again softly. "Thanks," he replied with a slight chuckle. "I'm proud of me too." This was something he wasn't used to doing, so it was definantly good to do something refreshing, and different. The man soon asked to tell him about himself, and he really didn't know what he could say that was interesting. "Well...Uh, I like to read books, and work on cars and stuff.." Maybe the mechanics would appeal to this man, he wasn't sure. He noticed the bottle being moved between them. "I don't think I'll have anymore...One was enough," he chuckled.

The boy seemed happy with the way the vampire was treating him. Jules had to admit this was going to be easier than he had initially thought. The boy seemed like puddy almost. a few compliments, and a shot of tequila and the boy was already gushing. Oh how much fun he would be in the future. He seemed extremely effected by the alcohol though. His words slightly slurred, and his face was turned into a constant smile, Julien couldn’t help but laugh at the light weight.
“Well I am glad you are having fun little one. Though I must say, I’d like you boring or not. As long as you are your own person I’d like you just fine. After all who could ever not want to be friends with a guy like you.” A devious smirk went across his face as he gave the boy a once over again. He wondered though what Zane normally acted like. Probably the shy boy Julien had met just moments ago was how he acted normally. Yes he may be human but this boy definitely needed Julien’s help on how not to be boring. How could he change this boy, into a playful man?
When he began to chuckle at the wink, it caused Julien to smile widely. “well as long as you stick with me kid, I’m sure you’ll be proud of yourself 24/7, trust me I’ll turn your world upside down.” His devilish charm was seeping through as he cooed the boy on. When he told him what he liked to do he found the boys hobbies a little odd. Well mostly because mechanics didn’t seem to read much. When he refused another shot though, Julien shrugged and poured himself a shot. “More for me then little Zane, maybe we can save some for your little girl friend then.” Another wink as he mentioned the girl the boy was to be meeting soon.
“those are some interesting hobbies though. I do love a good book, though most people find them dull. As for mechanics that’s always fun. I’ve never been too good at it, I may be able to drive a car like a pro, but let’s just say I am definitely a noob at the technical parts of it. Maybe I’ll have to go see you then. Could give me a chance to hang out with my new friend more.” He smiled and nudged the boy on approvingly, trying to draw him in further. Deeper and deeper he’d drag the boy down, until he would be too in love with the excitement to care what he did.

Arya had been sitting at home doing absolutely nothing listening to her sister gossip in the next room the whole night. Now she decided it was time to get out and actually do something with her life. There was a club in town that Zane had meantioned before called Miami Fever, they were supposed to meet there a little later but nothing wrong with going early. Though she was really shy she decided it might be fun to give the place and a try and see what the rage was all about. Dancing and such wasn't really her scene but there was always room to try new things and so after deliberating about it for a few minutes she decided to get ready to head out the club.
Pulling herself out of bed she took a quick shower and blow dryed her hair in loose barrel curls that cascaded down to her shouldblades. After throwing on some eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow she went to her closet to find something to wear. After standing for a moment debating outfits she decided on a pair of light blue jeans that had that "torn up" look to them slighty, not overly torn though cause that was just tacky, a black v-neck tank top that had lace on the top and bottom and a pair of black heels. Before walking out the door she grabbed a black leather jacket and her keys off the table hollering a see ya to her family, not that they cared.
It only took her about ten minutes to reach the club, she parked her Camero in the side lot parking and walked up to the front door. Her tank top was just short enough that is showed off a little bit of her flat stomach. She had decided to leave her jacket in the car which meant that the tank top showed off the long stem purple rose tattoo that she had on her left shoulder. It had been an act of rebellion last year to get the tattoo from a friend she knew, he had been a killer artist.
When the bouncer at the door saw her, he let her in without so much as a word and she walked into the life of the party. After taking in everything around her she walked over to the bar and bought a rootbeer, well actually a guy sitting next to her at the bar payed for it. She supposed there were some benefits to leaving your shyness at home and letting your wildside out. Tonight was just a test though, it was hard for her to be this outgoing but she was determined to do it for tonight at least. After smiling and thanking that guy she looked around and the person she spotted surprised her. Zane was over at a table with some guy she didn't recognize, not that it mattered really, it was surprising to see him because it meant that she wasn't the only one that had shown up early.
Getting up from her barstool she made her way through the throng of people along the outside of the dancefloor and walked up behind him putting her hands over his eyes. Wanna come home with me tonight she whispered leaning up close to his ear. She hoped that he liked this side of her because it was often that she expressed it. Mainly this side of her came out when she was so tired of being repressed and ignored at home, rebelling was the only thing she could do to let off steam. [/blockquote]

He smiled softly as the man spoke. Why did he keep calling him 'little one' though? He wasn't that little. Maybe he was younger than this man, but that didn't necessarily classify him as a little one, did it? Even so, it wasn't something that was bugging him. After all, the man was being rather friendly towards him. He liked him being himself? He didn't expect someone as cool looking as Jules to feel that way. "Thanks Jules," he replied with a smirk, feeling slightly more confident in himself, as if this man just had the power to take away any of his doubts. "I didn't expect anyone as cool looking as you to be that...Well, non-superficial." He chuckled briefly.
If only he could just take Jules home and show his friends. He was sure Preston would like him especially, and would probably have something in common. But on the other hand, he thought screw Preston! Zane had a friend who was interested in him, and he had him to himself. He wasn't a particularily protective person, however having a newfound friend was special, and he wanted to just hang out with Jules without everyone else stealing the thunder, and possibly Jules away from him.
In many ways Jules was right. Zane was already feeling more light-headed since talking to this man, and he enjoyed feeling that way. Jules just appeared to be someone who knew how to make someone feel better, especially about themselves. He definantly was liking that about him. "You'd wanna hang out with me? I don't get that often...Its usually a 'what are you looking at...' or something along those lines anyway." He shrugged it off. Although Jules was still new and Zane was getting over the mysterious stage, he felt like he could trust him for some reason. Just something about the man screamed 'protector.' And someone he could count on. "Oh I don't think she'd have any...Shes kind of like me in many ways." Aryanna was perfect for him in that retrospect, and the two of them would probably bore Jules. If not, he'd be rather surprised.
It wasn't long before he was surprised by someone clasping his eyes. As soon as he heard the voice however, he smirked. He was surprised by her change in attitude, it was a side of her he didn't expect to see. "Hey! I was wondering when you would get here." He smiled towards her turning, and kissing her on the cheek. She looked stunning tonight. Even moreso than the simple coffee, mainly because this place was more hip and dressing better was a given. He turned back to Jules, forgetting his manners. "Arya this is Jules, a friend of mine who was nice enough to keep me company. Jules, this is Arya." He wanted to say girlfriend, but he wasn't entirely sure if it was appropriate. They had seen eachother around at school and hung out, but this was only their second casual and out of school meeting. He pulled out one of the chairs signalling for Arya to sit down and join them. Though in many ways, he had hoped to be alone with her. If she didn't mind, he didn't though.

He couldn’t help at laugh when Zane said he was cool looking. After a couple of centuries all of that stuff sort of drifted away. Though he did appreciate the comment. “Why thank you Zane, I’m glad you don’t think I’m superficial. I gotta say though, you look far cooler than me, but that’s just my personal opinion.” He gave the boy a nudge of his elbow sort of egging him on. a bright smile, and then another shot was taken. Being a vampire it took a lot of the substance to make him affected by it at all. Luckily after all Julien’s time on earth he had sort of mastered the hard liquor. Especially since all of the liquor now a day’s ways cheap stuff, suited only for a child at best.
When the boy brought up the question of wanting to hang out with him he couldn’t help but giggle at the boys response. “well don’t worry, you seem fun, and I would like to hang out with you… after all if someone ever gives you one of those sayings, I’ll give them one right back.” He say with a wink of his eye. When he started mentioning his friend though he smiled as he seemed lost, and dreamy as he spoke of her. So the kid had a thing for someone who would have thought. “Well I’m sure if she is anything like you, she would be a fun person to be around.” He wondered how much the pair were a like. They couldn’t be too much of the same otherwise that relationship would be boring.
When Julien noticed a girl walking up he guessed it was this arya person. she seemed calm, confident, and like she was on the prowl. If Julien was naïve enough he might think she was a vampire. That would be silly though, especially since she had a heart beat that was pounding faster then a jack rabbit. She must be excited this one. Looking her over she had a sort of edgy look. Not tacky, yet not extraordinarily sheek. It was a perfect setting right in the middle. As she wrapped her hands around the boys eyes julien smiled devilishly letting the children play as he took a few more shots.
When time for introductions came, julien quickly spun around to meet eyes with the young girl. He gave a grin, and took one of her hands with both of his. Kissing it lightly on the top. “bonjuor ma petite fleur.” Looking back at Zane he gave another smile and nudged him. whispering into his ear “you never told me what a catch you got, I’m proud of you Zane, looks like your climbing your way to the top.” A small laugh as he parted from the ear and turned to the girl again. “Hello Arya, I am very glad to meet you, Zane can’t seem to forget you, and now I see why. You must beet of the boys at school with a stick, no?” he laughed again and took another shot. “oh how rude of me… would you like a drink Arya, it’ll make you feel amazing.” Another devilish smirk, and he handed the girl a shot glass full of tequila.

Arya gave a teasing smile when Zane turned around and kissed her cheek. They hadn't moved past the awkward initial stages of dating yet and were still on the let me kiss your cheek and hold you hand part of it. But it made her eager to see that he enjoyed her new look and was indeed surprised to see her dressed like so. It was only moments before Zane introduced her to his friend, Jules, probably short for something she supposed. The guy turned and greeted her with a kiss on the hand and a short phrase in French. It was easy for her to understand him considering she had lived in France for years in her childhood. Merci, bonjour à vous, ainsi she responded in fluent French.
When he then addressed her in English she also responded Nice to meet you as well. I am glad that you have been enteraining Zane here in my absense she replied with a smile. Inside her mind she had to chuckle when Jules meantioned her having to beat off the boys at school Yeah right, it would be the sign of the world ending if a boy at school ever noticed me. Well outside of a library that is she replied with a small laugh and glanced at Zane. They had met in the school library a couple weeks ago.
When Jules offered her the shot she shook her head No thanks, I don't drink. Plus I drove here and don't exactly feel like leaving my car here overnight while I walk home. It's a pretty damn nice car she laughed. It wasn't that she had never drank, she just didn't enjoy it like some people did. Getting drunk and not remembering the night just wasn't her cup of tea. Besides I got a rootbeer already she smiled and signaled to the drink in her hand, the one she had gotten for free. Soda was way better than alcohol in her book.
It was pretty apparent that Zane had been drinking at least a little, she could smell it on his breath but decided not say anything. It wasn't likely that he drove to the club anyway, he usually took the bus. She wasn't even sure that he knew how to drive, had his liscence or owned a car. None of it really mattered, if worst came to worst she could just drive him later tonight. [/blockquote]
