It wasn't like shopping was something that she put up very high on her to do list but sometimes new clothes were actually a necessity. For instance when you sneak into America as an illegal immigrant and bring only a napsack with you. A napsack can only offer so many pairs of clothing before you kind of start to look like a bum.
Besides being at the mall was sort of a trivial thing after what had happened to her and the other students last week. It hadn't been that tramatic for her because she had always known about the existance of vampires and the like but the other students hadn't had a clue about the supernatural and she was pretty sure they were freaked at this point. Luckily they had all made it out of that situation with little to no injury.
Now she was shopping with some money she had borrowed from a friend, money she swore to pay back to him someday. That same friend was someone she hadn't been able to trust at first but was startign to trust more and more each day. He had saved her life twice and had offered her a place to live. Now he was helping her buy some new clothes, maybe he was a good guy after all.
With her money in her pocket she walked into the first store that caught her eye and started to look through the racks of clothing. She was looking for some jeans, tops, maybe a couple skirts or dresses for times when she needed to look nice. Of course she needed underwear, bras and socks as well. Pretty much she needed a whole new wardrobe. With a sigh she started picking out things and setting them in her cart to go and try on later. She was a petite girl so finding things to fit her was fairly easy. She could have asked her friend Christine to come along with her but she figured Christine was probably still coping with what had happened. [/center][/blockquote]

Noah sat quietly at the food court dressed in a blue sleeved shirt with a black scarf, blue jeans & shoes and socks, he sat alone with his lunch on his table simmering, he had ordered a hamburger without the meat, and a soda with fries. the teenager was too preoccupied to eat as he had his black book in front of him and pen in his hand tapping his pen against The table edge as he thought about something to write. He tuned out the people speaking, eating & voices entering his own world of silence concentrating on what he wanted to write. He wanted to write something meaningful, to express himself in someway.
Who am I
I wonder whats to become of me will I ever find me ?
I wonder who I am now is actually me Or someone pretending to be me. I want I want me to be is Free what I want is to discover me. I want to know who I am To know what I like To know what I dislike. I want to know what it is I feel I don't want to be alone anymore always on the outside looking in.
I want to find people who understand me, better than myself. I want to be free of what is expected of me Transcend the limits & soar the heavens Fly away on a cold stormy day get lost in the rain and wash myself away.
Noah heard something a cough and he looked up to see one of the jocks from his new school, The teenager closed the black book and slipped it into his bag slowly, not breaking eye contact with the jock, he tilted his head and looked behind him to see two jocks behind him, the leader sat opposite of him picked up his burger "thanks Strange" he spoke with a laugh taking a bite "What, no meat this is disgusting." he spoke with his mouth full and spat it out onto the ground, Noah made a face of disgust seeing the appalling table manners. The teenager stood up and grabbed his bag, "uh...ok I have to go."
The jock grabbed Noah and the boy looked at him, he stomped his foot down on the jocks toe and watched the jock let go, Noah ran as fast as he could running up the stairs with his bag with the jocks right behind him, "Get him" the jock yelled, the teenager moved fast and ran into a clothing store he saw a girl with really light brown hair, he ran past her and dived into the clothing rack hiding himself. The teenager looked as he was in the girls section and sighed, he quietened down as he heard footsteps and watched to see a pair of feet walk past quietly "He isn't here." one of the jock's friends spoke. Noah remained still and quiet waiting to make sure they were long gone before he stepped out [well somethings change, and somethings don't apparently, I'm bully bait, oh how it sucks to be me, never free always worrying about wedgies..] he thought to himself quietly letting out a frown.

It was maybe five minutes after she had walked into the store that some boy came running through the store and right past her. The funny thing is that he dove into the clothing rack that she had been looking at and disappeared. As if that wasn't weird enough three big jocks came running the same way looking for most likey the running boy. Eliza shook her head in disgust, bullies were one of the people that made life unpleasant at school. No one messed with her ever but she had seen others get picked on and didn't like it. When the jocks got closer one asked if she had seen a boy and she shook her head but replied instead with You know maybe you should find someone more your own size to pick on. It doesn't exactly make you look strong just because you can pick on someone smaller and weaker than you. Far as I am concerned you look pretty damn pathetic me to me she added her accent still thick since she had only been in America for roughly a month.
The jock glared at her and turned with his buddies to leave. Once they were gone Eliza pulled back the clothes on the rack and looked at the boy. They're gone, you can come out if you want she replied and then stepped back to look at the clothes still on the rack that she hadn't looked at already. So why were they chasing you anyways? Were you just in the wrong place at the wrong time? she asked glancing at the boy but not wanting to make him feel uncomfortable by staring.
He seemed about her age most likely, but he was a small kid. He waso nly about two inches taller than her at the most and was thin in stature as well. Looks could be deceiving but Eliza could almost bet on it that this kid probably wasn't that great at defending himself. Eliza for instance was a small girl that looked defenseless especially since she had a purple cast on her left arm, but she could easily defend herself against most attackers. This poor boy needed some protection for sure, maybe a body guard or something? [/center][/blockquote]

Noah hid quietly watching although his vision was a little hazy from the clothing blocking the good parts he watched as the jock went to the girl and asked if she had seen him, the teenager gulped quietly hoping that the lady wouldn't sell him out. to the jock, the last thing he wanted was to get his ass kicked from the jerks. the teenager watched the girl shake her head, and told the bully to find someone their own size.
Noah's jaw dropped in suprise [wow she is so brave to be be giving that guy attitude, i mean look at him he is huge...he could probably throw her like a javalin...and here she is calling him pathetic....thats insane.] Noah thought to himself quietly as he watched the brute glare at the female, the young teenager began to shiver a little in fear and wondered where the heck were the sales clerks why wern't they stopping this.
Noah bit his lip nervously watching the stand off between the two [come on why won't he go ? aww man this is too scary, what am I going to do?] Noah thought to himself quietly he felt his heart pound in his chest as he watch the brave girl he closed his eyes and covered his ears. the young teenager did not want to hear the bashing or see it. he felt afraid and as he crouched there, he hated himself for not being stronger , for not being as brave as the mysterious stranger. Noah wished he could have been as brave as her, to have her courage and determination. the boy was quiet as a mouse after a few moments noah felt warmth from natural light he opened his eyes a fragment to see the girl still alive and untouched.
he lowered is hands and heard her. speak telling him that they were gone. The boy peeked his head out of the rack and crawled out glancing left and right, then left again to see the cost was actually clear. the teenager sighed from relief.
Noah picked himself up and wiped the dust from his jeans and readjusted his black scarf, he grabbed his backpack "Im bully bait." he mumbled sheepishly. Noah looked at the female she seemed to be avoiding his gaze, probably too embarrassed to be seen with him "im uh sorry about that." he spoke sheepishly blushing.

It was easy for Eliza to defend herself and despite her small stature people usually got some sense that she was not to be messed with. It was like when you look at a snake that is ready to strike and you know you should just back away and run, well that was how people were when Eliza meant business. It wasn't like she was some super hero but she was able to take care of herself and in general others with her. Helping others was sort of a weakness of hers and she couldn't pass up the opportunity to help those less fortunate than her. At this point in time it was this high school boy that was being bullied.
No problem, everyone has those days. Some people are just plain cruel though, you should really take some classes on self defense or something. It is amazing what a little skill, training and confidence can do for a person, might make life a little easier for you she replied with a smile and brought her gaze back to him. She had realized that by not looking directly at him she was making him feel even worse so instead she looked right at him when she spoke. Someday those guys are going to wake up fat and alone and realize that who they were in high school ended the day they graduated. Trust me, people like that never make it very far in life she added.
It was true. The popular people never seemed to stay that way after school was over and the people that lived their lives by picking on other people eventually became the people that they had made fun of. Fat, weird, loner, loser, any and every one of those words. Karma really was a bitch sometimes. I'm Elizabeth by the way, do you go to Miami High? I haven't seen you around I don't think she replied trying to think on if he looked familar at all, he didn't. It was possible that she had seen him in the halls but had never noted him to memory, that happened sometimes especially with people she didn't talk to. [/center][/blockquote]

Noah looked at Eliza, he sighed quietly as she spoke about things reguarding that everyone had bad days [Yeah thats pretty much the story of my life.] He thought to himself getting up Noah looked around cautiously just to make sure and he was quiet for a moment he kept silent until, Elizabeth started to do the whole it gets better speach, it was something noah memorized by heart.
Noah held onto his bag tight "I could do that, to learn to fight, but what would be the purpose of violence...what would I achive, could i beat them up...maybe, their brutes and hulk like, id probably injure my fist on their faith...Violence is not the only way of the world, It will only insight more violence, the best way to fight back is with no violence at all, the way to get through it is not by using violence, but using your mind....well that's what I believe." Noah spoke, the teenager hated the thought of senseless violence.
Noah at the door for a moment to make sure the bullies would not return and heard Elizabeth introduce herself. The teenager looked at her "I am Noah Lestrange, I just enrolled in Miami high, not long ago actually...It's a pleasure to meet you miss.Since you were so kind to help me out I was wondering if you would like lunch...i was interupted during lunch, it would be my shout of course. " Noah spoke softly offering the girl a free lunch for her troubles.

This boy was naive and foolish. It wasn't that Eliza thought violence was the only answer but his solution for things was a cowards solution. Doing nothing only made the problem worse, doing something was always better. Whether by voice or by body it was always better to try and better a situation by any means you could. Just running from your problems and hoping they will go away was doing nothing but being a vulnerable little child. Being raised the way she was Eliza knew that it was never better to just wish your problems away because that wasn't going to do anything for you.
I understand your perspective, but doing nothing and trying to just ignore the problem will do nothing either. I don't mean that you should beat them up necessarily but show them that you can defend yourself. Right now you are easy pickings because you are weak and vulnerable and naive. You will soon come to realize that there are things in this world that you can't just wish away. Being vulnerable will get you killed she replied. She knew that he didn't know about vampires and the like but still he needed to learn something other than running and hiding. Though this boy may not be a close friend to her she still would feel bad if he was killed because of his ignorance.
There is a time for everything but when you are being bullied and beat down it is not the time to just do nothing. It is your life though and if that is how you chose to lead it then that is your decision. I only hope you consider other options, your problems aren't going to fix themselves, you have to do it she added. She probably was coming across irritating to this boy but when he did realize what the real world held for him he would realize the things she said were at least somewhat valid.
When he offered her lunch she shrugged Umm, sure I could go for a little something. Anything particular in mind? she asked waiting for him to lead the way. Things could get tense between them depending on how he took what she had said. She really wasn't trying to belittle him or cut him down, she just wanted him to think about a different perspective than his own. She had tried most of the perspectives during her time traveling and had found that there was a time to run and hide and time to turn and fight. [/center][/blockquote]
