The smarter part of him was telling him that he should have brought back up. However, that part was quickly silenced by the realization that he had no back up to call. Logan was busy training the now slayer Eliza, and quite frankly the less he was around those occasionally weird training sessions he was the better. Besides this hopefully shouldn't be too bad, just a little light recon.
This brought to mind the reason two he shouldn't have back up. Because people tended to frown on sending the English teacher on a spa day (valid today only!) and then masquerading as a substitute for the day. but hey, the lady deserved it. 45, single, with a cat, and profile on Match .com. Owen considered this his good deed for the day.
Owen hadn't been to high school past his sophomore year and had never been to college ( though there was that one time he pretended to be a grad student for a few weeks to scam a couple of lunk head frat guys out of a couple hundred in a bookie scam). However the classes so far had been easy enough to fool, he just followed the lesson plan and kept his head down. However there was one part he didn't expect.
High school itself. Never was there a more wretched hive of hormones and stupidity. Luckily he didn't have to deal much with any students in particular, but just from the outside looking in, he was glad he went down the path he went down.
The bell rang and the next bunch of students shuffled out of the classroom. This was period that there was no class, so now was his chance. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. he didn't smoke cigarettes, but if someone wondered what he was doing wandering the halls, the pack made it easy to explain.
He slipped out of his classroom and started making his way down the halls. Glancing around quickly he then took a walk, making his way toward the science lab. The info he had half paid/half beaten out of a low level informant gave him the fact that the item in question was being held by a Mr Delvoy, science teacher by day...very pervy alchemist by night. he had already searched the guys home and found nothing so that left the school.
Hopefully he could find out where it was hidden and then sneak back in later tonight and get it.
Owen rounded a corner and was shocked as he went barreling into someone coming around the other corner.

Today just had to be the worst day. For starters, Paige had decided to go on a trip around the globe with her parents. Good for her, she deserved it, however now Macy was stuck having to keep order around the school. It really was the most frustrating job, she didn't know how Paige continually put up with it. She felt alone without her good friend. Sure, she had other friends, but they weren't nearly as cool and hip as she was. Paige was awesome. Together they were "the" bffs of the school and they were untouchable. What did that make her now that she was alone, without this bff?
Secondly, she had to go pay a visit to the science lab, to see some geeky teacher who had her mark for the previous assessment they had undertaken, which she had conveniently skipped the first time and had to resit. Couldn't they have just passed her or something...? She had a doctors certificate...Well actually two doctors certificates. She could be in a coma and would still be expected to turn up for assessments and resit them when expected. Not only did she not want to go to the science labs today, but she also didn't want to see that crummy perve of a teacher, who she had even forgot the name of! She began walking down the hall, until deciding to wait till another day to go visit him, however as she turned, she bumped into someone, and her bag dropped. Uhm...Who the hell would be careless enough to bump into her?
It was some weird, yet oddly cute man, who was obviously older than she was. "Uh....Excuse you. Do you just always decide to walk into people like that?" She questioned, with fierceness present in her gaze. She was not impressed. This was the third thing that had happened today, which was making her day the more frustrating. Things definantly did come in threes.

He ended up bumping into some random high school chick, as her stuff dropped to the ground. She glared at him, clearly ready to unleash hell. However he didn't have time for this, plus beware the wrath of the 90 pound prom queen had yet to be included in his rules for life. Yet at the same time his recon might be blown if he didn't do something.
So what was it to be? Stern, tight fisted teacher....confused bookworm teacher? He noted the frustration in the girls eyes as well and decided to work with that. His choice made he picked up her bag and handed it back to her as he flashed a simple but well meaning smile then said " Not usually, but I got a little turned around. First teaching gig I get since i got out of college and I can barely figure out the damn layout of the place."
He then waved his hand as if to dismiss that and said " But that's really not here nor there, sorry for running into you, but i needed to get some air." He then made a face as if he was moving on but then remembered something as he said " Hey aren't you supposed to be in class or something right now?"
Hopefully the sudden realization that he was a teacher would end the girl scurrying to whatever class she was supposed to be in or at least away from him.

Macy shot the man a bewildered, slash confused look. "Uh...What?" She stated abruptly, not even paying complete attention to the man's words. All she got from that brief exchange was that he was a teacher fresh out of college. College. That meant a young, cute man. Though he did seem a little disjointed and nervous, but she was used to it from guys. Most guys were either too nervous to speak to her, or too foward for her to want to speak with them. She could never just have the right balance, it appeared. Paige however seemed to have that, or at least knew how to deal with the situation and twist them into her own advantage.
She watched as he knelt down and picked up her bag. When he smiled at her, she shot him a fake smile of appreciation. "Thanks...But do you know how much those bags cost? And do you know how much the items within that bag cost? Because if you did...You wouldn't have been stupid enough to walk in my way in the first place!" He grunted, grabbing the bag off of him. Sure, he might have been a teacher, but she still felt the need to be agitated with him. After all, he caused her a moment of grief. Therefore he was entitled to the same back, if she felt like it. At times like these, she wished Paige was right beside her to either steer her away before she got really nasty, or just join in and make the man go emo or whatever those losers decide to do with themselves. She had heard once that one kid ran home and masturbated over them. Hopefully that was just a rumor, as...Gross much?!
"Usually when you want some air...You go outside, not into the science labs, which are stuffy and full of the icky smell of chemicals. I don't know how that Devery or Davey...Whatever that teachers name is puts up with it in there." She looked around, obviously not liking where this conversation was going. She had slightly remembered that science teachers name, that was a need for her to bolt away. She began to walk as he did, then he spoke again, and she closed her eyes, sighing. "Class? Well, no. I have a break, and had to go see Mr Devery in the science labs...But it can wait for another time. I think his usually out to lunch or something at this time of the day eating his nerdy sandwich or whatever." She looked around once again. "Anyway nice meeting you, we'll talk again soon? Bye!" She began walking off, hoping he didn't say anything else. Things were just too weird today.

Sure enough away she went walking down the hall all too eager to get away from the questioning teacher. Love it, when things went his way. he waited for a bit and then continued on his way to the science lab. As he approached quietly he realized that the girl was at least right about the smell. There was a vague odor of gasoline, tar, and...strawberries?
He looked in the room and saw that there was no one in there. At least that much was true as well. The girl had actually proved to be a bit more useful than he thought. Still didn't make her any less annoying though.
However, if Mr. Delvoy was gone, and the smell seemed as if there was something cooking. Be a shame to waste this opportunity. So he ducked into the classroom and followed the smell to waht appeared to be a locked supply closet.
He held his breath and knelt down, pulling out his lock picking tools and began working on the door. It was sad that he was doing this more often now that he was, sort of, on the side of angels than when he had to steal for his supper.
Finally the lock clicked, and he opened it up. Inside was a bubbling cauldren and a thick red liquid bubbling in it. He looked around and saw the vials that he had sold, were no opened and empty. crap.
He searched around and saw a wall that had a curtain over it. He tossed away the curtain and it revealed a wall filled with pictures. Some of some random brunette girl, and other of the girl he had just bumped into
"Oh wow... this is all kinds of illegal. I've walked into a lifetime original movie...great" Owen said to himself as he then tried to figure out how he was going to get rid of the all too familiar concoction that he knew was bubbling
***
Meanwhile as Macy walked away she would hear a slight huff coming from around the corner as the thin, pasty, and slightly balding Mr. Delvoy would come around the corner and snuck a casual leer , though he tried to hide it and then exclaimed "Ah Ms. Penfolds, just the uh..person i wanted to see. Weren't you supposed to meet in the classroom?" he questioned as he gave a sort of half smile.

Hearing the voice of the person she just wasn't wanting to speak nor associate with, she turned with a slight grunt, seeing the teacher she was previously bad mouthing to another teacher. Oh, and look. He had a stern look on his face. He really wasn't getting any, was he? He changed her face to an innocent and surprised smile. "Oh, the classroom...Of course. I was actually on my way to see you right now, sir. I just remembered I had forgotton something...Had to go back and get it. I just couldn't wait to get my assessment back..." She stated, with a tinge of sarchasm, in a happy tone. The teacher nodded towards her, before walking foward and signalling for her to follow. She sighed, following after him.
It wasn't long before they were outside the doors of the science labs. He coughed slightly, in many ways taking a shot at how stuffy and obsolete it was within this confinement. The teacher looked at her, before continuing in, with Macy right behind, rolling her eyes in content. When they walked inside, they heard a noise, causing them both to turn their heads in confusion. "What was that?" The teacher asked. "...I'm just a student, not psychic...And it doesn't matter, it was probably just one of the young gi....Labrats, or something?" She questioned innocently, nearly revealing the rumor about his perving nature. He appeared to take no notice of her mistake, walking deeper into the lab to check out the noise. "Could I just get the assessment results, and then I can be out of your hair? I'm sure you're going to be extremely busy with your...Sciencey stuff and all..." She sighed when he proved his intent on finding what the noise was. She began tapping her foot impatiently. "Shhh, its over there." Macy gave him a dirty look, before walking around the lap, examining the different objects present. Eww, one of them was icky!

He didn't even hear the other voices in the room until it was almost too late. He managed to to shut the door the potion was still bubbling. Now there was people in the room, and sounding by the voice, the girl that he had ditched in the hall was outside.
Crap,crap, crap.
He went around a furiously began taking bottles, and pouring them into the cauldron. Hoping that he could neutralize the potion in front of him. If given to someone, it could put them in a dream like state, that made them very open to sugestion. Vampires had used it to make a small coven when he had recovered these. Given the teachers less than honorable nature, it could be used to make a love slave out of a high schooler if given enough of a dose.
He poured more and more bottles in it. Hoping it would do something as he didn't have the damnedest clue about alchemy. Soon the potion turned from red to grey, to black. It began bubbling heavily, and he heard a the door start to open.
*** However before Mr Delvoy, could open the door it blew off it's hinges, knocking him and Owen came flying out as random black gunk flew around the room. Owen winced as he tried to help himself up off the wall, and wiped the gunk off his eyes and spit a small glob of the stuff that had landed in his mouth.

Boredom and agitation was really kicking in. She began tapping her heels, glancing around the room in a lifeless gaze, leaning against the counter, before quickly moving when she saw a bug crawling on it. "Ewww! Theres a bug on the bench, get it away from me!" She hastly moved away from the bench, turning her head as if to forget the horrifying memory she just experienced. She was disgusted when the teacher just ignored her sudden ourburst, scoffing loudly. Did he know who she was? He was a big fat nerd who is nowhere near as prestigeous as her, and he just ignores her?! Oh, and he can't clean benches properly either. Don't they have cleaners, or something to clean up messes around here? It should not come to her getting attacked by viscious woman-eating bugs, before something gets done around here. Even then, that was pushing it.
Scoffing again, she picked her bag off of the other bench, not wanting the same experience to occur with one of the bugs friends. This bag was way too experience to be infiltrated by bugs, anyway. "Could we hurry this along? I've got such a busy schedule today...Calling Paige and seeing how her holiday around the states is going...Shes so lucky, you know. Getting to experience all those great things...Though I don't understand how shes going to see it all flying in an airplane? Shouldn't she be like riding a bike around or something? Eww, but then all the dirt and stuff like that....Nevermind. I've always got so much shopping to do...After all new sale to..." The teacher coughed to himself, and she stopped, feeling ignored as she crossed her arms, swinging her handbag around softly.
It wasn't long after that the teacher went to open the door, hopefully to where her damn assignment mark was, when the door flew open. Macy screamed, as she looked on in horror and confusion as the teacher flew back into the counter with great force, knocking him out cold! Her mouth was wide open as she also noticed the man, that substitute teacher she saw earlier stuck with all gunk over him. Ewww....She thought ot herself, not with concern for him, but concern that some of it would find its way over her clothes. She jumped up on the bench, fiercely looking around to see if any of it was dripping near her. "All I wanted was my assignment mark! I didn't even want that, but that stupid teacher had to force me to come to this stinky, stuffy, bug-infested freak lab! And now I'm going to be attacked by all that disgusting stuff! Why does this always happen to me!" This wasn't good. She wished Paige was here, she'd know what to do. She always did in messy situations.

Owen shakily lifted himself off the floor as the random girl was shouting random things at or around him. He shook his head and said " Off hand I'd have to go with that your a walking stereotype, but hey I'm sure you have your own reasons why bad things happen to you."
He then ignored the girl as he walked back into the room that he had just blown the door off and took down the pictures of the now annoying girl and others and tossed them all around Mr. Delvoy, keeping one. He then made his way to the door, and said " You may want to get out of here...there's going to be a fire." He then lit the last photo on fire and tossed it on the table. It was a small fire, but that was all he needed.
He then pulled the fire alarm and stepped back out and began to walk down the hall and waited as crowds of students began to come out heading for the exits.
