"How long has the body been here, like that?" Daniel sent a questionable expression towards the medic. "Not sure. But it wouldn't have been more than a few hours at the most." Daniel nodded towards the man, before walking foward to take a closer examination of the body. "And there were no signs of force?" Another questionable expression was displayed towards the medic. "Other than the strange wound on her neck, nothing." Daniel sighed. This was going to be more difficult than he had foreseen. The only possible way that no physical force could've been used from the culprit to the victim was if it was a sneak attack, blindsiding the victim with some kind of dagger. But a double edged dagger? What kind of person would possess something of the kind? "The marks are almost...Bite like," the medic added, but Daniel didn't avert his gaze away from the body. She had to be in her late twenties, looking rather innocent in her nazy jeans and blue T-Shirt. Why would someone want to hurt someone so innocent? It was funny, that in all his time visiting crime scenes and examining victims, he never seemed to be able to answer that question. "Savages..." He muttered softly to himself, so that only the medic would be able to hear.
Everyday he would constantly question the morals of himself and everyone around him, and wonder what drives people to do such inhuman and barbaric acts. Was it just the way they were raised, due to being ignored by family and friends and seek to inflict punishment and take away the family and friends of others? Was it just for the fun or experiment of it, or did they generally have a purpose and connection with the victim? If so, he wanted all to question all of the family and friends of the victim, once she has been identified at the morgue, of course. From there, they might be able to ascertain possible suspects who might have it in for her. Worst case scenario was, however, that the culprit had no connection whatsoever with the victim, and it was just a random killing, with the lady being in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Why was an innocent looking lady walking down the dark and quiet alley at this time of the night anyway? That also made no sense. Was she coming home from work, or somewhere else...Or did she actually have a connection with the culprit and had intended on being in this exact spot. Though not intending to be murdered, of course.
He glanced towards the forensic experts who had also accompanied him to the scene of the crime. "Take as many samples as you can. Theres no other blood present, other than the neck wound, but I want to identify this person as soon as possible. We can't ascertain any suspects when we don't know who would have it out for her." They nodded towards Daniel as he looked up at them, before turning his attention back to the body. He knelt down, putting on a pair of gloves and carefully touching the wound. Why not just a gun shot, or if they wanted to be quiet, a knife on the gut or the heart? Sure, a neck wound was extremely fatal, but there was no blood splatters anywhere. The odd thing was, there was no blood anywhere, just a stain around the neck, which had already dried up. How could she die from blood loss, but have no blood present on her body, clothes or even the ground around her? It was as if the blood was drained, or something. That was the most stupid thing she had ever heard of, however in this town, who knows what kind of freaks there are out there.

Logan wanted to kick himself, he was late again. the city had gone crazy; the recent rush of demon activity was crippling Logan. He had dusted three vampires this evening before he came upon the scene in the alleyway. The two silhouettes in the alleyway could be mistaken for lovers by passersby but Logan had the added advantage of heightened smelling, he could smell the blood in the air. he sprinted onto the scene but he wasn’t fast enough the girl’s body slumped to the floor, her lifeless carcass was still, her face was that of somebody who had just seen the face of a demon for the first time.
Logan reached for the young vampire that fed on the girl but he was quick, faster than Logan. The vampire was young seventeen at the oldest as he began to climb up the fire escape. Logan ran up the fire escape behind the youthful demon. Logan grunted as he made his way up the stairs onto the rooftop. Upon reaching the top he realised he had been lured into a trap. Seven vampires stood on the roof, the young vampire that had fed on the girl cowered behind the leader. A burly muscular vampire, covered in biker tattoos. It was the Outlaw gang.
The outlaws were notorious in across the south east vampires. A select few that travelled from city to city where they would terrorize the inhabitants. The tradition started during the frontier and the cowboys world move from settlement to settlement, leaving only a few alive. “Getem boys.”. The leader spoke with a thick Sothern drawl as the gang set upon Logan.
Logan fought for a few moments before he felt a sharp pain in his neck, he had been stabbed with a syringe. He first lost coordination, and then his vision blurred as the vampires got the upper hand. He fell to his knees as the gang pounded on him.
He couldn’t tell you how long he was out for. He couldn’t really recollect anything as he fell fifteen stories to the ground, his body smashing against the cold concrete a few steps away from the police car. He groggily got to his feet, tasting blood on his lips he brought his hand to his mouth, blood was smeared across his face, and it wasn’t his own. His vision was still impaired as the flashing light of the cop car further disorientated him, “Evening officers.” he said slowly aware of the police presence, he felt as if the ground was shaking.

Feeling like he had seen enough from examining the body, and wasn't really getting any closer to finding answers to possible suspects or cause of death, he moved away from the body over to the police car, where one of the witnesses was being comforted by a medic. Daniel smiled softly, trying to be somewhat friendly and comforting under the circumstances, as he put an arm on the man's shoulder. "Are you okay? Seeing things like that can be pretty traumatising when you're not used to experiencing them." The young man nodded his head, turning his gaze away from where the body was laying. Daniel's head turned, glancing at the body, then finally back at the man. "I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions? Its just, we're as close to figuring out answers to this case as we are of seeing fairies waltzing down the alley." "Its okay, I understand." Daniel nodded, before thinking for a moment, then finally speaking. "Did you happen to see anything at all of what might of happened?" This was the main question on his mind, and the one mostly puzzling him. "All I heard was a girl...The girl, screaming in fear. I came running, but then I just saw the body. The alley was empty. Thats when I called the police. I'm sorry I don't have anything solid to give you." Daniel nodded. "Its not your fault. Thanks for your time."
Daniel walked away from the witness and over to his fellow cop comrades. "I gathered he wouldn't know much. Whoever did this was prepared, obviously ensuring that there was no one around. The only thing that I'm wondering, is how they could have known if anyone was around the other side of the alley. They couldn't have planned that, and killed the girl at the same time." He sighed, before taking out his phone. "I'm going to make a call, see if I can speed up this process. We need to identify this woman as soon as possible." The officer nodded, and Daniel walked away into the distance and began speaking on the phone. However it wasn't long before a mysterious man appeared out of nowhere, greeting the officers. Daniel thought this was strange, and even more strange when he had blood smeared over his face. Daniel's mouth opened slightly. "Sorry, I'm going to have to call you back..." He walked over to the man questionably, holding his gun just as a safety mean. If this man had any involvement, he wanted to be prepared. But if he was the killer, why would he enter the alley of the crimescene, especially with blood smeared over his face? It was as he moved closer that he noticed that the man was staggering. Obviously intoxicated. Probably just one of those drunks unaware of where they are. But blood? That was bizarre.
The cops moved away slightly as Daniel approached the man. "And who are you?" He asked bluntly, with a serious look on his face. "This is a crime scene...We can't let anyone come down here, for protection of evidence purposes." He looked up at his face, once again, curious. "Get into a fight, or something?" He asked curiously, trying to get as much from the man as he could. "Care to show me some identification?" This night was just getting weirder and weirder. And somehow, he had a feeling that this man had some overall connection to the crime.

Logan felt a shooting pin in his arm, he had smashed shoulder first into the pavement so it wasn’t exactly unexpected to feel a little pain. He grabbed at his arm and loudly popped it back into the socket. He let out a loud groan to deal with the pain. He wiped the blood from his mouth onto his sleeve. The intense pain had been enough to snap him back into reality as the world seemed to return to a perfect alignment and he no longer needed to hurl. He examined the blood on his sleeve closely, having been clean for so long the taste of blood from his lips was the equivalent enough to an alcoholic accidentally having a shot, he was ready to run back to the bottle but he resisted as the cop in front of him subtly drew his weapon.
“I can assure you officer, I’m not here of my own choice, I was actually dropped from the top of that building there.” He slurred candidly before realising that not many humans could survive a 70 foot swan dive. “I mean, that’s what if feels like anyway I’ve been drinking.” he said pulling a funny face an attempting to turn away as the cop asked for ID.
He spun back around and reached for his wallet in his top front pocket on his jeans. He checked it once before switching to the other, then checking the back pockets and inside his leather jacket. It had been stolen, fantastic. He cursed under his breath and shrugged his shoulders, “Looks like I’ve misplaced it.” he said with an awkward grin.
He examined his surroundings, could he escape, the cop had a gun but bullets were pretty ineffective against Logan. Well ineffective wasn’t the right word it hurt like hell but it wasn’t exactly going to kill him, he didn’t want to have to kill the cop, he was a cop, one of the good guys.

Daniel glanced up at the height of the building as the man described his 'fall,' causing him to raise an eyebrow. "Well thats quite the fall...Glad to see you were able to get back up after that and walk away like nothing had happened." Daniel paused for a moment, now turning his expression towards the suspicious man. "And just how stupid do you think I am?" He questioned, this time with intensity pressed against his face. How much had this man had to drink, or even smoke, for that matter? Of all the rediculous stories he had heard over the years, this had to be the most outrageous. Even more outrageous than the man who stated that he had to stab his wife twice in the gut in order to 'relieve' her of her pain when their house set on fire. The real story? He set the fire himself. After he stabbed his wife twice in the gut.
He didn't need the man's confirmation to realize that he had been drinking. He just hoped it was only that, which judging by the insane cover story, seemed rather unlikely. He couldn't smell the strong stench of alcohol on his breath, though thankfully he wasn't close enough for that. Though his actions were confirmation for drunken behavior. He had experienced many drunks in his experience who thought they were invincible and indestructable. Clearly this man was lacking the mental capacity to realize just how high that building really was, and that he would have no humanly possible way of surviving such a fall. Or jump. "So you've been drinking, and falling off of rooftops...Rough night huh? Have something to do with the dead body over there?" He asked, moreso stating, as he directed the man's attention with his hand, over to the young girl, laying there motionlessly. It was too weird for this man not to be involved with this in some shape or form.
"How convenient," he stated in response to the lack of the man's identification. Things were just becoming more and more suspicious. Some other officiers approached the two of them, looking at the man suspiciously. "Take this man into custody over night. His off his head, no safety in himself or others for him to be on the street. And if you are involved, we'll use this time tomorrow morning to find out." If this man was involved, they would find out who he was and his motives, and ensure that he gets the punishment that he deserves.
