This last week had been one of the worst that she had encountered in a while. A new watcher had decided to show up in Miami and she was a royal bitch. But it wasn't actually that bad because at least Eliza was learning more than she had since she had become the slayer. But despite learning all of this she still needed some time to herself. It was like she was being scheduled twenty four seven between spending time training, spending time patrolling and spending time trying to get to know her new group of lackies. It was different that being in a group with Logan, in his group she was just a helper but in this new group she was the leader.
It had been days since she had last seen Logan or even talked to him at all. It was like cutting off all contact from him all at once, and it wasn't that much fun. Being with Logan had been nice and comforting, being with him made her feel safer. Now that they were no longer talking, or she wasn't talking to him at least. Logan and her had grown closer than friends and then he had shattered her, shoved her away like she was yesterday's trash. The anger and hurt that still tore at her made it hard to concentrate sometimes but she was using it to make her even stronger.
Sitting on the pier was comforting for some reason, probably because the harbor was the first thing in Miami she had ever seen. When she had stepped off that boat only a few months ago this harbor was there to welcome her, it seemed like so much longer ago. As her mind drifted back to the day it also drifted back to meeting Logan for the first time as well and remembering that made her anger flare. [/blockquote]

There was nothing more cliche then meeting a shady contact out by the docks, but it was cliche for a reason. It was easy to spot a person and equally easy to blend into the background. However he suspected it was more magic than the surroundings that made his contact fade into mist after money had been exchanged and he now had a small envelope tucked in his pocket.
He walked around the docks whistling as he then spotted a familiar brown haired figure by the docks. He shrugged and casually approached the dock as he then called out.
"Hey kid , sitting on the dock of the bay? Watching the tides roll away?" he then paused and said " Wait do you even know what that was a reference to....do they have Ottis Redding in Eastern Europe?"

It wasn't very long into her desolate silence that someone interrupted it. The voice was familar to her...Owen. When she turned to glance at him she forced a small smile and then glanced back at the waves. He meantioned something but it wasn't something she was particularly familar with. Must be an American thing I suppose she replied looking back over her shoulder with a shrug. So what brings you to the lovely docks of Miami this fine night she replied with a sarcastic tone. The docks were pretty much slum, but they were usually quiet.
She wondered if Logan had sent Owen to find her or spy on her, he better not have. Did Logan send you to find me? she asked bluntly wondering what type of answer she would get. Of course whether he said yes or no she couldn't be sure what the real answer was since Logan would have told Owen to be secretive if he was following her. Maybe Owen really had just happened to be around, that would be a coincidence for sure. Eliza decided she was probably just being too paranoid and tried to ease her mood a little. Owen didn't deserve her foul mood. [/blockquote]

"Trust me if Logan wanted you followed he'd be lurking in the shadows himself." Owen said with a shrug. He had to admit that he had been caught up in his own issues that he had barely noticed when Logan and Eliza had their falling out. Not his finest hour. " I had other business here tonight, tracking down a few things here and there. Didn't expect you to be lurking around" he said noncommittally.
He calmly walked closer and sat down on the docks beside her. They hadn't really talked much since their first run in when he got back into town. Granted he wasn't exactly eager to talk about that either. So he did what he did best, diversionary moves.
"So we haven't seen much of each other in a while, how's the whole slayer thing going?"
