It had been torture, waiting for nightfall. Metaphorically speaking, at least, because it hadn’t actually hurt. It had just been boring as hell. Even though Tobias had kept getting distracted by small things, but nothing had really held his attention for long, and sooner or later he’d found himself back to peeking through the curtains, glaring at the sun to see if it would make it set faster. If anything, it had seemed to make it set slower. He had wasted some time, true, by changing into a fresh set of clothes. He had new clothes, now, in this place, which was nice. Modern skinny jeans, with a button up white silk shirt, and it was all good. He had rolled the sleeves of the shirt up though, to above the elbows, because they'd just gotten in the way. Beside, they showed off the metal bands aorund his wrists...which he was getting rather fond of, even though they reminded him of the demons.
But eventually, the sun had vanished below the skyline, and then he was out of the mansion, pausing only to encircle his fingers around the familiar figure of Axel’s wrist, before tugging him along after him. He did wonder for a moment, about letting Julien know he was going out...but then the lights from the town had caught his gaze, and he’d forgotten about doing anything like that.
“Clubs aren’t bad around here, y’know. They were more school-like where I was born. Think the most exciting was a school disco,” he said happily, turning to grin at the other boy, and slowing his pace as soon as they were a relative distance away from the building. As much as he liked having somewhere to stay during the day, being inside and unable to do anything was boring. At least the mansion was a large one. That was a good thing.
Besides, he felt rather obligued to show the other man around. They were probably the same age, true, but Axel’s smell hadn’t been anywhere around before the big thing which had happened (which he probably should have paid some attention to, really), and now it was, but he didn’t think he’d left the mansion before. Toby felt rather proud of the fact that he could be the one to show his new brother around. So far, other people had been the ones to show him, but he'd remembered what Axel had said about control earlier. This was sort of doing that, wasn't it?
“There,” he said, stopping short and pointing at the building further down the street, where music was already pumping steadily out of, “That clubs’s always good fun. Some of the other’s are all demony, I think, but I don’t like the sound of them. Anyway...this one has a free supply of snacks.”

He glanced at the club that Tobias was pointing to down a short distance. It read 'Miami Fever.' There was definantly going to be a fever going around after he was finished with the people in there. A slight smirk posed against his lips as he turned to Toby, continuing to walk foward. "Sounds good to me, Toby. But even if the club isn't fun, we'll make it fun." Axel was good at making things more interesting and thrilling...For him that was, not the people recieving. Maybe if they actually enjoyed themselves and relaxed more, violence wouldn't need to occur as frequently as it did when he was around.
"Abundance of snacks? Toby, you can have anyone you want in there. I will make sure of it. I mean, what are friends for?" In a normal situation, such a comment would be expected. However in their case, it needed to be taken in a different tone of thought. He wanted Toby to enjoy himself, and thrive as a vampire. He wanted his friend to be strong, and experienced with being a vampire. Throwing him in the deepend like this was definantly a good way of doing that. The only difference being that this time, he was there for Toby, as a friend. Toby didn't have to feel alone anymore.
Walking foward even further, he paused when they hit the entrance. "ID please," the security guard spoke to him sternly. "Oh that...Well, I don't really have one." The men went on, explaining that they cannot enter then. "Come on, man, you're gonna prevent us from having some fun? Sorry, but that won't be happening tonight." On that note, he banged the man's head into the door, then throwing him unconsciously to the floor. Nobody else was around, so who cares. Even if there was, what were they going to do? He grabbed Toby's hand with a smirk, bringing him into the club, not looking back at the unconscious man as he walked in the door. He turned back to Toby. "See, we can do anything we want in this town...And no one can do anything about it. We are invincible, Toby..You and I. Together we will always enjoy ourselves, and theres nothing anyone can do about it."

Toby paused, before looking at Axel, a slightly confused expression alight in his eyes. "So I couldn't have taken anyone I wanted before now? Oh. Oops." No one had told him that. He'd just thought he could take anyone anyway, if they smelt nice. Which most humans did, admittedly. But, it was good that he could now. That was nice...so he didn't bother worrying about before.
He laughed at the sound the human's head made as it collided, watching the slumped figure gleefully even as they moved into the clubbed. "Who knew humans could make such interesting sounds when they hit things? Do all humans make that sound?" He had the strong urge to now go and experiment, to see if it would. But he resisted, for now, because he wanted his concentration to be fixed on Axel. It would be fun.
"I like the sound of that." Invincible. He did like it. It was a nice word, that. Humans weren't invincible. They broke open too easily, and spilled their life too quickly to be anything like invincible. That was a good thing, he was sure. He looked around, taking in the crowd of humans slotted together by the music, his eyes flitting around, never able to concentrate on one thing at a time. Humans. They were so...interesting to watch.
"Do you eat humans?" he asked curiously. "Because..well, you're not a vamp, are you? But if you do, see, there's lots in here. I love picking from the dancers. It makes it taste sweeter." In hindsight, if he bothered to apply the use of hindsight that is, he was rather glad that the music was so loud. It meant he had to lean closer to Axel to speak, but other's probably couldn't hear. Staying hidden was important, apparantly.

Looking towards Toby, he noticed the confused look present on his face. He smirked slighty. Boy was this boy confused a lot. He was beginning to wonder if it was really him that had popped out of the portal, and not Toby himself. "Course you could, man, but now you got me here to ensure you do." He patted his friend on the shoulder with a reassuring grin.
Humans did make interesting sounds when they collided with things. "Not always. Just depends on how hard they are hit," he stated, his face motionlessly looking down at the fallen security guard, showing absolutely no remorse whatsoever. Being as strong as he was, it was bound to be such a powerful collision, that the man would've felt like he was hit by a semi-trailer, or a truck, something along those lines. He'd be out for some time, he thought to himself with a grin. Toby seemed to like the idea of being "invincible," and this appealed to Axel. "Good," he stated softly, still a motionless expression. "Once that pathetic slayer and her sidekicks are out of the picture, this town will be ours. We will truly be free to do whatever the heck we want...Not that it had ever stopped us before." With a smirk, he tapped Toby on the shoulder, before moving inside the club.
He was wildly amused by the colors floating around the inside of the club, and the loud music, accompanied by the many humans dancing, looking extremely happy. It was too easy, he thought to himself with a grin, before turning to address Toby's question. It was a rather random question, he thought, but he assumed it was a question to be expected, judging by the outside incident just moments earlier. "Nah, humans aren't my thing. I dunno what I am...Human, demon, who the heck knows. Definantly not vampire though. We are similar though," he shot towards Toby, before putting his arm around the boy's back. "Thats why we are like brothers, me and you. Thats why the two of us will make good friends, because we are so alike. Apart from the eating part, that beauty is left solely to you. I enjoy watching though." He grinned. He would enjoy seeing Toby have a good time and feast on unlikely prey tonight.
"Wanna drink? I mean the alcoholic type, for an appetizer anyway. Unless you'd like to gourge yourself in the main meal right now, your choice." He smirked towards Toby, before walking towards the bar. He himself would be looking for a good time, something alcohol usually granted. Alcohol was an amazing chemical, so enticing on the mind, something he enjoyed tremendously.

The music was pounding, beating as if the building had it's own heart pulsing, like it was alive. Heat being emitted from the humans clumped together bodies filtered through the air, amplified by the multi-coloured lights which flashed regularily, adding a deeper, layered sense to the atmosphere. Toby bathed in it, loving being so near to so warm, so alive, bodies. He could feel the heat, if he focussed, and that was nice. Usually, in places like this, he'd move into the middle of the dance floor and lose himself there, taking a break only when he was hungry, and when someone nearby smelt good. But he didn't have to do that this time, because he wasn't alone when going in.
"A slayer sounds rubbish, to me," he said with a laugh, having to shout to be heard over the music, "Let her be busy with the little demons. Then we can have fun." And the demons would be gone as well. He had asked about this Slayer, after it had first been mentioned...and others had sounded scared. But he'd been told that they were killers, and unbeatable, and one girl wouldn't be able to change that, would she? Not if they just stayed out of her way and avoided confrontations.
"I don't care what you are," he said, laughing as he turned slowly to the pulse of the music, "We're alike, and we are friends, and that's all that matters." He did pause though. Demon? Was Axel a demon? He didn't smell like those demons...but there was always a chance, he guessed. He wasn't sure what to think about that. Those demons scared him, and Axel was his friend. He wasn't scared of him. "I like eating them. Just a little bit, though. Tastes icky after a while, and they have so many amusing facial expressions." But he did like feeding. Of course he did. He loved the blood more than anything, except perhaps company.
"Ok," he agreed, nodding eagerly. Alcohol was something he'd only really had as a vampire. As a human, before all this, he'd been too busy with studies. His brother had been the party goer. Now though...he loved the fact that humans did like to buy him some. He followed, looking around though, cutting out potential food from the crowd.

"A slayer sounds rubbish, to me,"
He couldn't help preventing a grin at Toby's comment. "A slayer is rubbish..." He added with further emphasis. They were nothing but pathetic excuses of existence, yet they were treated as heroes, and feared by the vampire community. What was there to fear? Vampires were just rather stupid and too ignorant for their own good at times. At Toby's next comment, he wraped his arms around the boy's shoulders from behind, whispering into his ear, which under the circumstances was a rather loud whisper. "She'll be busy with me. Us, if you want in on the fun too. I promised her to Julien. But that doesn't mean we can't rough her up a little bit first." He grinned slightly, before moving away from Toby slightly. He was definantly going to enjoy the "roughing up" part, almost as much as he'd enjoy watching Julien 'slay' the slayer.
He listened to Toby go on, before glancing around the dancefloor. "And look at the variety you have tonight...You could have any of them. Hell, all of them if you could." He glanced around at the people once again. All stupid, ignorant, just like many of the vampires in this town. Luckily for him, Toby wasn't ignorant, nor like many of them. Thats what Axel enjoyed about Toby. He was different, like he was.
He smirked as Toby agreed to drinks, and he took Toby by the hand, leading him through the hussle of crowds, even shoving some people away to get over to the bar. "Give me something strong," he stated, before turning to Toby, letting him say whatever he wanted. Of course, he wasn't going to be paying for these drinks. They were on the house in his mind. If this man had a problem with that, there would be trouble.

"There's only one of them as well. That's pretty silly. She can only be in one place at a time, and vampire's must be everywhere, mustn't they? So what's the point?" He shook his head slightly. He didn't understand the deal with Slayers. According to Julien, they'd like to kill him, and other vampires, and they were strong, and good fighters. But they spent most of their time simply killing the silly little minions who rose nightly. There was no point to that. There were more humans than vampires anyway. A few being drank from didn't hurt anyone, especially seeing as it was nice, to him, to taste from more than one person to make a meal. So they didn't die either. It was a load of rubbish, to him. But Toby was a vampire who didn't care about the wider picture. He just enjoyed the present, and playing in the present.
"I'm never done that before," he said, sounding interested, "What does 'roughing her up' involve?" Playing with her, probably. But if she was promised to Julien...well, to kill her? Julien would quite like that, he thought. He liked talking about killing the Slayer, if Toby remembered correctly. "That could be fun." If Axel's grin was anything to go by, it was fun. A lot of fun. Goodie.
"I like a variety," he said, having to lean his head closer and raise his voice as the music volume increased every so slightly. He did. Tasting from more than one person was better than tasting from only one. Everyone's blood tasted different, after all. Like Axel's. Axel's blood was yummy. He giggled slightly. "They like me drinking from them, y'know. They smell so funny when you do it, if you do it nice enough. They aren't afraid of me." Vampire's were meant to be scary, he knew that. But...well, why, when it was just as easy to feed his way?
He let himself be pulled through the crowd, glancing around at all the dancing bodies, his eyes flicking between all of them quickly. Yes...food would be good. He could already feel that little crying creature inside him yearning for their blood. Hot and warm, and pulsing...Strong? He blinked, suprised to see they'd arrived at the bar. Ohhh, strong alcohol. Alcohol. Ummm...he'd never really had alcohol. He'd never been able to. "Can I have a coke?" he asked, hopefully.

"Exactly," he stated in somewhat of a reply to Tobias's quesion. "One slayer to cleanse the entire world of evil...Yeah, never happened, never will. She dies, another sprouts out from wherever and the cycle continues. They just don't get it, do they?" If he wanted, he could decide to go on that bandwagon too, but what was the point, when death was inevitable? He didn't want to follow a stupid cycle, monitored by old hasbeens in wherever they are hidden. They probably made him slayer-like too...But that didn't work out too well for them, obviously.
"Roughing her up is as stated...Roughing her up. Beat her, kick her, bite her, bang her, do whatever your souless being desires. As long as there is a fair share of pain and suffering involved. If another one will sprout around the corner, we gotta at least take her out with a bang." He smirked slgihtly, looking around the club again, glancing at all the oblivious and ignorant people. He was worried for Tobias though. The slayer was strong. Axel had never fought one before, but from all the vampires that had perished at her hands, it was a given that he would be in for a good challenge. And no offence to Toby, but he wasn't at that level. He was a confused boy, a newborn vampire. Newborn vampires are nothing to slayers. If he wanted to kill her, and keep Toby alive, he would need to tread carefully and strategise.
He chuckled at Toby's comment about them smelling nice. "Thats because it makes them feel all good inside," he stated with a smirk. If anyone had been bitten, they would know that although painful, it left a desire to want more and it did generally feel exotic, and senseless. He watched as the boy asked for a coke, and sighed slightly, looking rather confused. "A soda?" He asked bluntly. He glanced at the bartender. "Give me a scotch on the rocks straight up," He took the drink and handed it to Toby. "Don't be weak, you're a vampire. You don't drink things like coke. This will make you feel good, promise."

Tobias nodded. “It’s like...them, up there, whoever the hell they are, realise there’s bad in the world, but either can’t do anything, or just don’t care. So one little girl is made to do their dirty work.” That was his point, he was pretty sure. Of course, he might be confusing himself, but he was pretty sure that he wasn’t. But he had to say, that was about as far as Toby’s sense of philosophical conversation went.
Hurting her? He vaguely remembered that before, back when he’d only been concerned about homework and keeping out of trouble and finishing uni, before waking up underground and everything after that, but back then...he would have felt something about that. As it was, now, he didn’t feel a thing other than a faint thrill of excitement. It sounded like a game, the way he said it, and Axel did have a point. She was going to die anyway, wasn’t she? “Never done any of that before...Well, except the biting part. I like biting. Might have to practise though...” he murmered thoughtfully, looking around at the bright lights, looking at the bodies dancing to the pulsing music. “Y’know. You have to do it right for a Slayer, don’t you? Because...well, just because.”
He wasn’t that afraid of the mention of the slayer, come to think of it. According to Julien, she would kill him without a moment’s thought, but there were lots of other demons, weren’t there? If he made sure to stay with others, he’d be fine, and if not, he’d just run away. He was scared of dying, because nearly everyone was, but he wasn’t afraid of the Slayer. It was like a story, to him, one that Julien and Axel both talked about. Playing with one would be fun, though.
Toby nodded his head sombery, “Yes. I’d noticed that.” Well, sort of noticed. With hindsight, noticed. At the time, all he’d been noticing was the blood, to be fair, but he was young. When there was blood around, it wasn’t as if he could think of anything else. He paused, looking at Axel. “Um...I like soda...Am I not allowed to drink it now?” But, well, he was learning to be a vampire, still. Perhaps drinking soda was a bad thing for vampires to do. Might kill them, for all he knew. So he took the fresh glass, looking down at the drink with an apprehensive look for a moment...and then just shrugged. “Ok then. Wait, scotch on the rocks? That’s an odd name. Why name drinks so oddly? All you do is...well, drink them.” He was pretty sure...they’d been over the promising thing already. But he couldn’t remember, and it wasn’t important. He had a drink now, and he had to drink it, so he did. He lifted it to his lips and drank it just as he would have drunken the coke. And he was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

Toby's theory on slayers was a rather interesting take on the matter, and for once, it appeared that the boy was making complete sense. Axel couldn't help but smile softly at this discovery. "Sounds like a good enough theory to me." Slayers were utterly useless in the end, based on their life expectancy. Sure, vampires feared them, but what was there to really fear about them? He was eager to find out, that was for sure. He couldn't wait for Julien to point out who she was, because he was growing rather impatient. Julien had insisted that he stay in the manor for a while, but it just wasn't happening. He wanted to go out and enjoy himself, and spend time with Toby. Being cooped up was boring. He had enough of that when he first came into this dimension, world, or whatever the hell this place was compared to where he resided. This town had so many fun perks, and he was intent on exploring them all. And of course, causing the slayer and her pals pain and suffering.
Toby was rather cute the way he got so confused easily, and his innocence of being a vampire. It was definantly different than what he had come to expect in this place. "All in good time," he stated with a coy smirk. "You've already bitten me, its exactly the same. Except I'm sure she'd be a lot...Sweeter." He continued to listen to Toby, finally nodding his head. "Julien describes slayers as a 'fine wine.' You wouldn't drink a fine wine out of a cheap plastic cup, now would you? Think of it like that. I'm sure you'd have no problem with her, after all, you did good when we last saw eachother." He grinned slightly, remembering when he had let Toby drain his arm to help him learn and experience new things. It was also apart of his plot to fool the vampire and his lackies, which apparently didn't work. He had underestimated those fools. Never again.
He smirked at Toby's reaction to him exchanging his cheap soda for a scotch, and his observation of the funny name. "Who knows...People around here are weird like that..." He stated, shooting a gaze at the bartender, who quickly turned his head. He came back, asking for money, which Axel refused. It wasn't long before a suspicious security guard approached the duo. "Got a problem?" He questioned sternly. The security guard tried reasoning with him, but the moment he grabbed his wrist, Axel snapped. He sent a quick jab towards the security guard's throat, watching as he choked. He then slammed his head onto the bar, watching him fall to the ground. He noticed the people begin to look over in shock and curiosity, leading to a smirk appearing on his lips. "Gotta hate party poopers..." He stated, before walking deeper into the crowds, looking for somewhere quiet, where they could hang out together or something.

Hmmm....yes, that drink had definately been nice. Whether nicer than soda, Toby wasn't too sure. Perhaps, a little bit, though the after taste left something to be desired, and he couldn't help but miss the light fizzing that soda had. Strange how he'd never really noticed things like that, before. But he was noticing new things all the time now, wasn't he? And learning new things, though remembering those new things that he'd learnt was something he'd not quite got the hang of just yet. But not matter. He would eventually.
He glanced up from his glass at the word 'sweeter', raising an eyebrow disbelievingly. But Axel had tasted much sweeter than humans! Much nicer! So...this Slayer would taste nicer than him? A slow smile spread over his face at that, exciting rushing through him at just the thought. He giggled, bouncing on his toes slightly. "I dunno, really. Never liked wine." But he was pretty sure that was not the point Axel was making. Damn. "Oh, no, not the biting thingy. I'm not worried about that, because you just go Grr, then bite. It's the causing her painy bit thing. How do you know if it works?" He still didn't feel anything...bad, about the thought of bringing someone else pain. He hated pain himself, didn't like it at all and ran away before it became a problem, but causing it to fall upon someone else? The thought that something was wrong with that didn't even cross his mind.
He put the glass down on the bar, looking at it hopefully as if half expecting it to refil before his eyes, before looking up to ask for another. Only he didn't get a chance to, because the human in the costume...no, uniform, not a costume...was suddenly there, and arguing with Axel. It was rather silly of him, to do that really. Surely Toby wasn't the only person not suprised when Axel responded the way he did. Silly human. Only, now it looked like he wasn't going to get another drink at all. He sighed, turning away, before changing his mind, and leaning over the bar instead, to absently grab two bottles from beneath it. Use distractions. Julien had mentioned that while hunting before, and though this wasn't hunting, surely it still applied. No one seemed to notice or care, anyway. They were all too busy watching Axel kill someone. Not kill. He couldn't smell blood...could you kill without blood? He'd have to ask.
He did hold his empty glass above the security man on the floor though, wondering for a moment, before crushing it in his hand, grinning to himself as the shards fell very prettily. He watched them fall, head tilted to one side, until they landed in and around the humans mouth....Oh. He hadn't meant to do that. Oops. Axel wouldn't be mad, would he? Actually, never mind that, humans wouldn't be mad, would they? No, quite likely from the fuss starting around him, they would be. He moved away quickly, skipping through the crowd to follow he other man, only glancing back over his shoulder every so often.
"Did you kill him?"

Chuckling slightly at Tobias' question of how to inflict pain on the slayer, in particular, he shot him a suggestive grin. "Don't worry, you'll know. Even though they're slayers, theres always a way to make them scream a squirm. They are still humans after all. All humans feel fear, inside. You just gotta bring that to the surface, my friend." He paused for a moment, as if in thought, before continuing on, looking at his friend. "Look into her eyes, you'll know when she's yours, and when she knows she is going to die. I've seen it before, not in a slayer of course, but a human nethertheless. A truly satisfying feeling, if I say so myself." He enjoyed killing, but what made it that much more intense and satisfying was that look of fear when they knew their lights would be our soon after. When all the thoughts come crashing into their mind on who they won't get the chance to say 'I love you' to, where they won't get to go, and all the mistakes/regrets of their pathetic existance and how they won't get the chance to reprieve them.
After walking away from the security guard and the gazes, he looked back at Toby, when they got to a more quiet location, with a slight smirk in response to his curious question. "Nah, just a throat injury, probably, if the medics get to him in time. He'll just learn not to mess with us next time, won't he?" He did feel invincible most of the time. He was that much more powerful, durable, agile and resilient than all the other humans, making him superior in every way. They would find that out the hard way, if they pleased. Toby was also superior, and although he was still having difficulty realizing that, he would soon realize that if he kept with Axel. He guided Toby towards a few couches in the club, sitting down and taking a sip of his drink, before placing it on the mushroom table next to him, and glancing at Toby. "You know, you're really awesome to hang out with. Once you get a bit more out there, we'll have a sweet blast together."

"I'd see feel a bit better about getting some practise, to be honest," Toby said as he followed, chewing on his bottom lip. Because apparantly, this killing-the-Slayer thing was quite...important. Which meant serious. Which meant that he had to be serious, and had to done well. But Toby wasn't good at doing things right the first time. Usually, when he tried, it made people laugh, which wasn't that bad, because it was friendly laughter in Julien's case, but still. This was serious. Ish.
"I've never seen it," he said, nodding his head, "Not that I remember, see. But...never really killed anyone either. Even though that's apparantly the thing to do, and makes people scared of you, I don't see the point. Don't like the blood enough to just drain them, me." He laughed, throwing himself down onto the couch, feeling the seat below him with his hands. It was quite bouncy, how nice. Bouncy and comfy, and...oh.
"Yes? Yes, he will...Well, unless he dies. In which case, he won't have learnt anything. And he might be one of those silly ones who think of revenge, and blah blah blah. But oh well," He grinned, holding out one of the bottles he'd 'found'. Get out there a bit more? Well...Yes, he thought that was a good thing. Didn't matter if it wasn't - he kept grinning anyway. "Oh...so wer'e not havbing a sweet blasting time now? Shame." That was a bit depressing, and he felt upset for a moment, until he remembered that he was still holding the bottles. Then he just grinned again, holding one out to him. "Got more, if you finish that. Though...this isn't in a fancy glass. Didn't think to grab any of them."
