Logan had left Eliza to sleep in her old bed and set out to find who or what had caused her injuries. So far he had questioned a few local demons, a magic dealer and dusted a group of vamps for info but they all seemed to be clueless, all they knew was there was a spike of energy that had everybody on edge.
He set off from the scene of the fight, wiping dust from his jacket as he carried himself as he always did, shoulders back chest out. he projected a tough image that nobody would approach, apart from the occasional demon who wanted to prove they could defeat the vampire with a soul. They couldn’t. Cars hissed by him on the road, their engines crackled with heat and smoke spilled from the exhaust. He suddenly felt as if he was being watched, not by anybody specifically but by everything, the city felt different there was a magical energy he had never felt anywhere before.
He wanted to stop for a cigarette but he pressed on, he had to get to the bar before happy hour. He turned a corner and he was welcomed with a fierce see breeze, his skin was could but the wind sent shivers through his body he quickened his pace as he passed the doormen with a nod of the head he finally reached Carnage, or Joes as the regulars called it. This place was the epitome of dive bar. The lower class of demons all flocked to Joes. Surely somebody there would know something.
His knuckles rattled the door, admittance was only given to demons, unlike some of the high end bars Vampires and half breeds were accepted at Carnage. The handle turned and a crack appeared, a red light shone in the distance he leaned closer, close enough to hear the distant strain of music from the cellar bar. The door swung open as a pretty blonde woman opened the door. “Logan! Where have you been honey.” she grinned widely as she wrapped her arms around Logan’s shoulders and leant in for a kiss, he pulled away sharply, “Sorry, there’s somebody . . .” he hesitated, he didn’t have to explain himself to a one night stand and he certainly wasn’t going to tell the bar he was dating the slayer.
“Joe’s round the back, he’ll be happy to see you.” she said bluntly, she was clearly upset as she returned to the door as happy hour approached. Logan walked into the bar and felt the urge to smoke, he pulled a packed from his pocket and brought one to his lips. He struck a match and lit up the cigarette, he took a drag as he entered the bar area it was already busy and it was barely 12, he began questioning the clientele.

She was so happy to be free. But even now the thoughts of hope would periodically spring into her head and it annoyed her but it wasn't worth finding a new body...for now. She had wanted to kill the girl she was with when she awakened but the remnants of Hope's feelings had fought her and it wasn't worth fighting her for it. She had been roaming the streets looking for a supernatural gathering place. It didn't take to long to find one. She laughed loudly when she saw the name of the place and got some looks from the humans. She fought the urge to kill them. Humans always made her angry. Such insolence in such pathetically weak creatures. But not tonight, tonight she had more important things to do.
She walked into the place and even she couldn't make out who was what and the mere presence of so many different things had given her a headache. When she tried to walk in the bouncer put himself in front of her baring her path saying "beat it kid and go home to your daddy before you get caught out past curfew." He and several of the other people nearby started to laugh. If there was one thing that Lilith hated more then anything it was someone trying to make a fool of her. Her plans for this evening had just went from making her presence known and maybe getting some allies to making a large statement that she was in town and that anyone even thinking to mess with her would not live long enough to see the new world she envisioned.
She gave the bouncer a innocent look and said sweetly "Do you smell smoke?" The bouncer looked curious and started to sniff the air. "What are you on kid, I don't smell anything." She decided this was a good time to show off a little if she was going to start making a point to all of these pathetic creatures. Not a one of them rivaled her powers.
She started to transform into her demon form. She thought about changing into that 'other' form for a second but decided that would be overkill. The horns grew out of her head and around through her hair while the leathery black wings grew out from her back. She let her power spill out around her letting everyone that could sense it know the power she had...the ancient power of her and the powers she wielded but most of all the evil in her.
The bouncer backed up into the wall and fell to knees and tried to beg for mercy while she heard glasses and bottles smash when they were crushed from the pressure of her power crushing them.

He paused for a second, fixing his white shirt’s collar, white wasn’t his colour: too clean for all the dirty work he had to deal with. He passed along the corridor under the glowing red light bulbs that filled the corridor. The walls were covered in pictures of the regulars; a diverse assortments of demons covered the walls like a stare mural. Logan frowned as his own Polaroid was pinned to the wall, back in the 50s when this place was actually classy. He wore a tuxedo and was flocked by two beautiful blondes. He snatched it and stuffed it into his pocket, it wasn’t him anymore.
He reached the main room of the bar; he descended a small flight of stairs into the main bar. It was almost like stepping into another world, a hidden fantasy world beneath Miami full of all the debauchery, plotting and illegality you would expect amongst the city. Small groups of demons all stayed in their own cliques as scantily clad human women and beautiful demon girls worked behind the bar and served customers. The laughter and joyous atmosphere suddenly cut short as Logan entered the room, he wasn’t popular amongst Carnage’s customers, yet Joe the owner had a fondness for Logan. Joe loved a good redemption story and enjoyed his infrequent updates from Logan.
Logan took a long draw from his cigarette as he walked to the bar. He smiled and exchanged some pleasantries with the barmaid as he ordered bourbon. He sipped at his iced drink, his presence alone was enough to provoke a reaction, he would wait a few minutes before he would talk to any of the customers, he liked making them sweat a little.
Well that was the plan; he heard the commotion at the door and casually turned his head, flicking the ash from his cigarette into an ashtray on the bar as he felt a shiver down his spine. A sensation he hadn’t felt in decades in the presence of truly powerful demons. He wondered what was happening as a shrill scream travelled down the hallway echoing into the bar. Logan downed his drink, the cigarette was only half smoked as he stubbed it out blowing the last of the smoke from his lungs. He stayed sat at the bar anticipating the arrival of the powerful force.

She left the bouncer cowering on the ground and walked into the bar sensing the power of those around. They were all weak compared to her but there were two interesting signatures. One that completely puzzled her. She walked over to old demon sitting in the corner. The other patrons probably didn't know but he was old...almost as old as Lilith herself. When she was in view of the man the man looked up at her and looked like he had seen a ghost. In his mind he had seen a ghost. He was from her home dimension of hell and he had to recognize her power because there was only 2 with her particular brand of power. Herself and her father. He exclaimed loudly "Y..Y..Your dead! You died over 2000 years ago!" He was sitting so she could look him in the eye and she did so from only an inch away. He squirmed in his seat and looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. She whispered in a calm and cold voice "Do I look dead to you?" He was cowering now, her very presence causing him pain and dread. "Lilith! Please, I didn't know you were free! I thought you were dead when they put you in the urn! I would have come for you! To free you if I could!" She looked at him like a viper ready to strike but instead of killing him she spoke. "I should kill you .... but I will give you one chance. I need you to let my father know that I live and that I will finish what I started. Now go before I change my mind" The little man ran for the door without a second look. She knew he would do as she said. Not out of love or loyalty, but out of fear and dread. She was one of the most feared demons in there history. There were many demons that would have been happy knowing she was gone and now that she has returned they would be terrified. But once her father knows she lives she will have access to her warriors again and this task will be much easier. With the first person she needed to see out of the way she turned and took in the other creature. It felt like a vampire but with something that was impossible for him to have. This vampire had a soul. She took in his appearance. He looked like a vampire ... but he wasn't like the rest. She started to approach him with a gleam in her eyes. This one might make a good servant.

Logan sat on the bar stool and waited as the teenage girl turned the corner. He watched her slowly enter the room, she walked with a purpose. The horns looked unnatural on her head as did the bat like wings that had emerged from her back. He carefully made sure not to look obvious, he signalled to the demon behind the bar for another bourbon and took a sip from the glass.
There was a sense of unease in the bar; it had gone almost silent as the young girl approached a lone man in corner. The man was a regular, Logan had seen him there for years but had never paid attention to the man, he was just another regular. Logan watched from the corner of his eye as the girl berated the man who was clearly older than her but she spoke as if she was his peer, more of a superior. Her voice echoed through the club as she scolded the man. In any other circumstance it would be funny to watch a girl humiliate an older man in this manor but there was something sinister, he could feel the power bleeding from the girl.
Logan watched as the man scarpered away as the patrons tried not to look. In the corner of his eye he could see the girl approaching, he could smell Eliza on her. The most subtle of scents from the slayer was recognisable to him; she was really under his skin. The girl approached as Logan took another gulp from his glass, he casually twisted on his barstool to face the demon, she was clearly the girl who had attacked Eliza.
”Aren’t you a little young to be in this kind of establishment?” he asked, playing it cool however he wanted to tear her wings off for what she did to the slayer. He held the drink in his hands, spinning the ice in the glass, he had a concealed weapon in case of any trouble yet he had the feeling he would need more than a dagger to deal with this creature.

She walked up to him slowly. Trying to take him in and understand how he could be what she knew to be impossible. Once she was only a few feet away she looked at him and just couldn't make enough out by just looking. She wanted to delve into his mind like she had done with the angel but she didn't want to repeat that performance this soon after that disaster. She really did need to get a more suitable body and quickly.
This body was simply too weak to use all her powers but Hope still had some hold in her head and that was bad. Looking into his eyes she didn't see any outward sign of emotion but he gave off some slight waves of anger touched with a little fear. She wondered why he might be angry with her but couldn't come up with anything. Fear on the other hand, nobody in there right mind wouldn't be afraid of her.
"You shouldn't exist .... your a vampire, yet I can feel the soul in you. That is impossible." She reached out like she would touch him to make sure he was real. She pulled back however when she felt the slayer on him. She couldn't hide her rage from him and hissed "You are a vampire!! How can you consort with ...... HER!!" She was so angry she couldn't contain it. She had wanted him to be her minion but this was simply unforgivable.
She let even more of her power spill out through the room and heard the people around gasp while others started to quietly slip out the door. Suddenly a snake of fire came out of her hands and started to slither toward the man while she smiled menacingly. The man was surprised and sitting down and was to close to get up in time to get away. The snake wrapped around him without actually touching him but he was trapped within its grasp. She could simply burn him to ash. But she wanted to make a point to the others here so she would destroy him with her own hands. She hit him so hard he flew over the pool table and into the wall. She dispersed the flames just before he was hit so he didn't catch fire. She walked slowly toward him while the others quickly got away. She tossed him to the other side of the room. This time she took one of the pool cue's and broke it in half. She approached him thinking only about killing this vampire that she didn't feel that he powers were fading and that Hope was trying to press into her thoughts.
She was just about to strike the fatal blow when she suddenly felt dizzy and had to grab her head. She tried to concentrate and slowly advanced on this abomination of vampire kind.

Logan’s lips curled into smile as she assessed him, her assumption was correct he was a one of a kind. Logan shivered a little as she jerked away from him. She had sensed the Slayer’s presence; it was enough to push her over the edge.
She erupted with raw energy, glasses fell from tables, and the customers even had to grab hold of something steady as to not lose their footing. She was powerful, that was for sure. Logan’s eyes were fixed on her hand as flames erupted in a strange serpent shape, it was a few seconds later he realised it wasn’t just an explosion. The fiery snake advance on Logan, causing him to drop his drink with a large clank. Logan quickly found the snake bound itself around his feet, while the flames didn’t burn yet he was sure the power could be increased to easily incinerate the hero.
He felt her small hand grabbing onto his shirt as she flung him across the bar. He landed face on the dance floor, the snake had evaporated. Logan tried to climb to his feet, the girl was strong. Eliza was lucky the demon went easy on her, she wouldn’t be able to handle this, not that he was handling the situation much better. He watched as she grabbed the pool cue and snapped it. Logan stumbled to his feet as she walked towards him, but she hesitated. She pressed her hand to her head. Maybe he was hurt. Logan hat to take advantage of the moment, he swiftly drew the blade from his pocket and tossed it at the demon. He aimed for her head but knew that she could easily catch it, he was hoping it would be enough of a distraction as he raced to the fire alarm and set off the sprinklers, He’d like to see her use her fire powers as water rained down on the club.

She was surprised when he got to his feet and threw the knife. Most vampires wouldn't be getting up from that. She grabbed the knife out of the air a few inches before it struck home into her eye. She must be weaker then she thought if that attack almost hit her. When it started raining indoors her contemplation broke into a startled cry. How was this possible? It couldn't rain inside. It just couldn't!
While she distracted by the sprinklers she felt a boot connecting with her chest and flew back into the pool table. Her small body was in agony from the attack. She must have a new body and now. She couldn't manage to do what she wanted with this body. It was simply to weak.
She looked at the who had kicked her with pure and utter hate in her eyes. She couldn't burn him but she had many other abilities she could use. While she looked at him she pushed her anger and hate and pain into him. He couldn't help but scream in agony. She was getting ready to attack him one last time and tear him apart when she felt her power failing. This body wasn't able to contain the power she needed. She wanted to scream in frustration.
As the power faded the souled vampire started running out the door. He must not realize she was at the end of her power or he would probably stay and try to kill her. He might just be able to do that with her so weakened. She watched him leave before calling her servants. She would need help to use the ritual to take a new body.
This body had been nothing but trouble and she would be glad to be rid of the girl Hope.
